He was. We have lots of depth this year and a number of promising young guys who had solid camps are starting in the AHL.

He's throwing a fit. This isn't the first time he's refusing to play in Hartford.

Many of us blamed the regime at the time but apparently Drury and Gallant are running into the same issue.
Nothing about that tweet intimates this is Kravstov demanding a trade, as much as the Rangers not seeing him in their future and allowing his camp to facilitate a move.

We really SUCK ass when it comes to drafting 1st rounders. All our best players that made the best impacr (that we've drafted ourselves) have been mid to late picks.

Take your ball and go home. Kid's got a ton of skill but has a lot to learn about the business and understanding what being a pro player is about. Want to go play shinny for a crappy team? Enjoy Buffalo. Want to compete for a championship ? You're going to have to learn to play your role be it here, Toronto, LA, etc

It’s a little bit of both honestly. Kravtsov 100% should have made the roster and he is right to be mad about being in Hartford. He knows he can get a bigger role in the KHL. But the reason he is in Hartford is probably temporary because the team is afraid to put Gauthier (and Hajek) on waivers. So the Rangers are definitely doing things a bit backwards here. They are trying to play games with VK and he is mad about it. He isn’t in bust territory yet at all, like some are suggesting, but he is being managed terrible
