Agreed. Pionk is better than most people give him credit for. He had no business playing as many minutes as he did, but Shatty sucked and ADA took time to get his head on straight.

Put Pionk in a 3rd pair role and he'll be fine.

Pionk’s development stalled and he even regressed along the way but it was a matter of circumstances he was put in. The talent is there and in appropriate role and lesser spotlight it’s likely he’ll get back on track. Best of luck to him, just not against us.

He called the Rangers as the front runners for Trouba and we got Trouba. Lay the hell off the guy Jesus. He's the only decent beat writer this team has that actually reports rumors. Of course they aren't always going to happen but he does his work.

@Inferno and I were leading the anti-Trouba train. Mostly because I thought the price to acquire him would be exorbitant. You can't get everything you want so considering the price we paid in a trade, If he ends up being $8-8.5, I won't be that upset.

I would give him this year and next to continue to get better either at the collegiate or AHL level. It is tempting with his physical abilities to get him here in 2020-2021 but he is one guy I don't wanna rush
