Yeah, with rare exception (a guy slipping to 16 or 18), I don’t think they ever viewed 20 as their path forward.

I think the goal/approach was always to get into range to catch a faller, if they couldn’t get into the top 10 outright. Be it Kreider, or Buch or some other option.

Chevy would be the one to grant, or not, the right to talk to Trouba and his agent. I'm not sure Chevy really knows what Trouba wants, other than to not be in Winnipeg.

Don't need to bottom out, but I'm not as concerned about getting a high pick next year. If we can somehow parlay Kreider into a 1st round pick and grab one of the centers, I think we'll be pretty well set.
