Rumor: Nylander like Matthews unextended. Nothing to see here.

lack of scoring is what did the Leafs in. That's what I keep hearing anyways.

And nylander was on the ice for for 9 goal 56% of 5v5 tampa goal and 6 of those 9 goal was result of a direct nylander mistake. 40 ,% of 5v5 tampa goal could be avoid just by nylander doing his job defensive side

None, but a big problem vs Florida was inability to break out of your zone. Better D will help with that not to mention you open up cap to bring in a forward.

Or you know, we can continue to just run it back until they all f***ing get old and retire lol

Arguably the best part of Nylander's game is his ability to transport the puck up and distribute it. You know, on top of being one of the league's better goal scorers. If you're hurting for offense, you just aren't going to find a defenseman who brings all that unless Makar somehow becomes available

Team needs to be better, no if and or buts. Top heavy doesn't work, balanced teams with nasty d cores win cups. We don't have it and it's been proven with one round win in 7 years.

Having talented individuals is a part of it, you need a balanced team around them. We blew our load on 4 guys and there's no money to build a team around them. When the core gets shut down there's no one else to chip in...needs to change, period

Nylander 5th. and marner 3rd. are wingers so yes, they aren't key positions.

Just have to hope their two leading goal scorers are both healthy next year.

Need those goals so the assist poachers can load up their totals.

Tavares and Rielly already have full NMC contracts and Matthews and Marner full NMC both kick in at midnight tonight.

In a matter of hours that question will be moot.
