Petey will be the highest I think, but if 11.5 is real, it might not be that much.

I can see Petey at 11.5. Reinhart a little lower and Lindholm under 10m. He might take less just to get out of Calgary.

3.5 range is too risky. Might end up with a Kerfoot or playoff Mik. Definitely not losing Nylander for a bunch of swiss army knives. A true Bertuzzi will run you 5 mil minimum.

Nylander + throwing darts at the next Goodrows @ 1 mil is a better play over grabbing the 3 mil tier of players. We were able to stumble upon Domi for 3 mil. Better to not actively seek this and just wait for it to come to you.

While I'd prefer to switch the term on those two contracts (what Matthews did sign and what Nylander is rumoured to sign) at the very least, I don't see how more term is all that risky for the team (regarding Nylander) when the AAV is the same and high in its own right?
