Either way. If you can trade him by camp...fir the right players..ok.
But he is a value player, maybe worth more than Mitchy, but MM has no trade. We cannot give WN a no trade clause.
Unless JT retires at end of season we have no choice but to trade WN...or the cap increases by 8 or 10 m

I wasn't even thinking about whether or not Nylander is the best Swede in the league or not, I was just laughing at the idea of that being relevant when discussing his next contract.

Nylander's initial rumoured ask (which I'm pretty sure you're wrong about) has nothing to do with Marner - who was not overpaid.
And he knows that he deserved that much less.

I'd love to see him stay @9M but I can't blame him for testing UFA. The only part of core 4 that won't stiff @11 ? Nope , Leafs trying to keep it under 9.

No, because he's still negotiating for the specifics that he feels he deserves based on historical UFA comparables. It just has nothing to do with Marner and this weird jealousy narrative that some people are pushing. He obviously knows he's not as valuable as Marner, and more importantly, wasn't when they signed their previous contracts. This is how guaranteed contracts with term work.

Can we worry about the Bertuzzi extension next year? Lol. It was a complete win for Bundy. If he stays healthy, he's an instant fan favourite this season. Let's try to be happy for the wins.

pointing out how dumb it is... posting just points is dumb enough, then posting points per $. There is a lot more to hockey than just scoring.
I like we have now established they are all PPG so we need to switch to points per $ to make them look worse.
Spezza was the best contract in the league for a while, they should bring him out of retirement.
