Loved that also. Gotta have confidence that our boys know what they're fighting for.
I don't think what we saw in the last series was fatigue, I think it was what happens when you are matched up against a great hockey team facing elimination. We stifled them for a few games, they stifled us here and there. I think we see what looks like a reenergized Kings team on Wednesday.
Can we have Clifford break a few jaws preemptively so they don't get any cute ideas?

The NJ series was only rough because Brodeur suddenly was 27 again during games 4 and 5.
It was a tight series, though. Games one and two in OT was pretty crazy.
If Doughty continues his level of play and we win he'll get the Conn Smythe for sure.

The media as usual has its tongue firmly and deeply up the rear ends of the Rags and everything Rag related. I am loving the whole "the rags D is the best in the game this post season" pablum and even more so the whole "the rags forwards are capable of putting up some big offencive #'s.
We have 5 of the top 6 scorers in the entire playoffs on the Kings and the top rated power play. The hawks are easily the fastest team in the game and have a considerable more amount of skill then the rags yet our D is somehow not going to be good enough to stop St Louis team leading 13 points for some reason.
The Rags BARELY got past the Habs and only did so after taking out their best player in Price. I mean it is anyones series but for farks sake it is like the media has forgotten how great the Hawks are and seem to think that the Habs were on the same level.
The Rags faced a poorly coached Pens team and the Habs without their starting goalie and best player but somehow WE are the team that is going to have to "elevate our games to match the skill of the Rags D and handle the speed of their forwards".
Give me an effing break.
The Rags won the Leastern Conference.
Lets see how they do in a 7 game series against the best of the West.

It's not just the media, it's everywhere. Like everyone thinks we simply forgot how to play D instead of giving the opposition credit.
Gonna be hilarious when NYR fans/media think they're going to slow us down because we're not going to be able to pot 4 on them and Quick's gonna put up a sub-.900%.

The Kings may win this series, they may lose, but they have given me no reason to doubt them. Just look what they've managed to do. Quick hasn't been great, and they're still here. Kopitar didn't score a goal against the Hawks, and the Kings still scored more goals than they did. Down 0-3. Losing 3 straight to the Ducks. Mentally overcoming the Hawks always getting the best of them, which probably happened in the 3rd period of Game 2. The Game 7's on the road.
The Kings haven't faced a goalie like Lundqvist in the playoffs. The Rangers haven't faced a team like the Kings in the playoffs. The only teams that have beaten the Rangers so far over the last 3 years in the playoffs were teams that went to the final. The only team to beat the Kings so far in the playoffs over the last 3 years was last year's champ. Neither of those things will change when this series is over. These two teams have played the most and 2nd most playoff games over the last 3 years. That's good stuff all around.

I just banned my own self from the main boards. I just can't take the stupidity any longer. Oh well, it is a short coming of mine. I tried to be at least respectful where I could for awhile and it just doesn't work.
I can't wait to hear Buttons and Hradek talking about how we keep getting lucky bounces and how the puck has a way of finding Quick and the rest of the pablum that they will vomit out as this series goes on.
This is the series that I have wanted for so long. I can't wait for the Kings to take the ice. It won't be easy but if we can win the cup and do so beating the Rags it will be christmas my birthday the fourth of july and sex night all at once.
So much going to love every second of this series.

Seriously, Rangers fans, your team hasn't won a Cup in 20 years, and until they do, you can start to knock out the arrogance you have for the Kings. But until than, show some respect to a team that has been to the last 3 Conference finals, with one of those being a Cup win.
