Seriously, Rangers fans, your team hasn't won a Cup in 20 years, and until they do, you can start to knock out the arrogance you have for the Kings. But until than, show some respect to a team that has been to the last 3 Conference finals, with one of those being a Cup win.
My god, they act like they've won the Cup the last 2 years. It's almost Canuck fan level.

Its actually.. Worse than the Canucks were. Canucks had a good amount of level-headed fans. It's pretty rare to see it from the Rangers fans.

This series ain't gonna be no cake walk. Lundqvist has played better than Quick and if Voynov-Mitchell keep up the shakiness on D, we might be in trouble. That said, Chicago is a better team than the Rags so we should have a good chance against them. With no more Toews matching up against Kopitar, that should free him up on the offensive side of things. There's no way I'm underestimating NY...

The NJ series was only rough because Brodeur suddenly was 27 again during games 4 and 5.

It was a tight series, though. Games one and two in OT was pretty crazy.

If Doughty continues his level of play and we win he'll get the Conn Smythe for sure.

You guys were just deeper and had Doughty especially. That's the way it goes. It certainly didn't help that we had an incapacitated Kovalchuk either.

Seriously. It's like they completely forgot their past 20 or so seasons in the span of 2 weeks.

Yeah, Kovalchuk didn't really look like himself at all. He had some big injuries iirc

Now imagine living around these types. Plus now every front runner in NY is a diehard Ranger fan.

Have to say. Wore my Kings jersey around today and got only positives responses. Best was the guy in his sixties yelling kick those Ranger ******* ***** across the parking lot.

Seriously...the Rangers fans don't understand why they are the "underdogs?"

The Kings beat the top teams in the West and last year's champions. The Kings are resilient team, that have a never die attitude and for ****s sake this team won the cup in '12- which a lot of the players from the cup run are still on today's roster. This team is breaking records and creating history as they continue rolling through the playoffs.

The Rangers beat the Habs (without Price) the Penguins (that are ALWAYS hyped by the media) and the Flyers (lol OK). Please don't make me draw a bloody diagram with bar graphs and pie charts NY ....

the only and i mean only disadvantage we have is fatigue

that's all

we beat San Jose, Anaheim, and Chicago...and we can't beat New York??

fatigue and that's it

Didn't you get the memo? They have the best D and goalie in the world. Kings have no chance and will get shut out in 4 straight

You're getting a first-hand look on how most Rag$ fans are...obnoxious to the core with no sense of history. The organization has been around since 1926, is an original 6 franchise and has won (3) and bought (1) Stanley Cup in its history. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. The numbers don't lie...the Rag$ are historical losers whose fans ridiculously boast a glorious past.

I'm an Islander fan whose team sucks; yet, the Islanders have the same amount of Cups in less than half of the time. Once again...they are just an ignorant bunch. Consider yourselves lucky that you don't live on LI and have to travel to work in NYC.

Just beat those guys and put an end to their lucky streak. I would love to see the Kings hoist the Stanley Cup at MSG. I'd be smiling from ear to ear.

That GIF is awesome. You cannot BS the Queen -- not about anything and especially not about shoes.

Or hats.

Don't u remember the kings are 7-0 on elimination games? I'd say they have been unstoppable in those situations...

Lundqvist has been as unstoppable as the Kings in game 7's, really games where his team is facing elimination in general.

Long time NYR fan coming in to congratulate you guys on beating Chicago and to say good luck. It'll be a different series than the Hawks. Our goalie can make routine saves and the Rangers actually play defense. But you won't be seeing an offense remotely close to Chicago. Hopefully it's a good series and hopefully Kopitar goes easy on us... the guy is a beast and I'd argue the best two-way forward in the game. Would be awesome to see him win the Selke, because he honestly deserves it. Anyway, good luck in the series ;)

Just wait till the Avs become Cup Contenders, as far as obnoxious, cocky, ignorance in fans go they take the cake by a country mile imo.

Great post and great horse!

I feel like this story line is way overplayed, have the Rangers not played 20 games themselves? That said, I wouldn't be shocked to see it have some effect in game 1 (being that the Rangers had an extra few days off), but that's it, the teams have 2 days off between games 1 and 2.

Lundqvist has lost at least one game 7 as a Ranger.

Look I'm rooting for the Kings to win their 2nd Cup in 3 years, and I think they'll pull it off. As long as they take NYR out in 6 games or less, because if they let them hang around till game 7, I'm going with Lundqvist. It's a whole new ballgame by that game, in which it's likely the best goalie will win the game (that is of course imo), and in Game 7's that is Henrik Lundqvist.

Isles fan here:

Destroy them. The majority of their fans on LI are obnoxious enough as is, but it's gotten much worse recently.
