Post-Game Talk: November fun over, Leafs lose again 5-2

Matthews is a little worrisome, can't actually recall him putting the team on his back or actually dominate a shift. McDavid MacKinnon do it at least once a game can't really say I remember Matthews doing that.

Yeah, that's just a spot he shouldn't be. He's just not good with the puck unless he's down low where he's great. That said, it wasn't a great place no matter who had the puck.

I will say the heat on Mitch has been like 80-20 over their careers where it should be more like 51-49. Mitch gets the flogging but Auston just gets rewarded with more, more every time. We look around and this guy is the highest paid player in the game, was gifted the captaincy and is having the worst season of his career.

So, not getting consistent production from 12+% of your cap becomes a problem at some point. This is the issue in a cap world. Lots of time to correct it, but we're over 20 games in and its looking dire.

MM AM has been a struggle all season. MM took off when AM was injured. He had two good periods when they put it back and now it's a 5v5 black hole again.

Yeah I could see him going back on IR for a long while. The quality of play is awful. We don’t have any idea what he’s dealt with or dealing with. But also, the secrecy. All very unrelatable.

Overreaction. Woll let in 1 bad goal. And despite the genreally agreed upon shit game from the Leafs, the game was there for the taking. No one stood up to take it. Couple posts go the other way we win walking way even with the bad goal againt.

Playing like this, yes, could miss the playoffs but man there are some terrible teams in the East.
