Singerman said Lemmy's lifestyle was unlike that of any other rocker. He said: "I've been with him almost 25 years, and it was a half gallon of Jack Daniels a day, two-three packs of cigarettes and his other little favorites and that was a daily thing.

"Recently he switched over — and I still can't grasp it but he thought it was healthier — he switched over to vodka and orange."

He added: "I still always remember a great quote: Lemmy from MOTÖRHEAD makes Keith Richards from THE [ROLLING] STONES look like a Golden Girl.

The orange juice is actually not good for Lemmy. He was a fellow diabetic. I can't imagine he took care of that any better than he did anything else. Another thing on that mile long list of things that makes it so shocking he lived as long as he did.

I'm really ****ING tired of all these mobile ads. Every damn site I go on is unreadable. They have scrolling ads now where it slows down how fast you can scroll. ****ing money ******.

there has to be an apple version of *******? Modified host files or whatever? I guess you have to be jailbroken but yeah...

Nexus + ******* + youtube ad block... ****ing amazing. I don't get any ads anywhere.

hahaah they censor that software that blocks ads for you.. Anyways, on android it just modifies your host file (basically where you can make any url point somewhere else, normally its meant to apply ip addresses to computer names but works for whatever)

I'd like to get a Nexus 6P, but off contract phones are lame.

I have done it with my last two and been very happy.
Haven't priced the 6P, but its like $400ish?
Hardware is good these days and unless you feel the need to upgrade you can keep it up to date and running well for a few years. Still a lot of happy owners of the original 5.

Considering that, and that they LET you do whatever you want... In my mind its worth it to be able to do what I want with the computer I keep in my pocket every day for years.

Considering the hassles of contract phones telling you when and what updates you get, locking you out ect, ect... I have been real happy paying a one or two hundred bucks extra every couple of years to NOT deal with that ****.
Though I see plenty of nexus owners who don't know how or can't figure out how to root, who wait for OTAs instead of just manually updating their phone, who just leave things stock... At that point I understand it not being worth it.
On the other hand, custom recovery to make and restore backups, updates every couple of weeks if you want them, being able to add any feature to your phone that you want... Worth it if you can do simple computer stuff.

$650 for a 64GB model. Nexus (Nexi?) finally have decent cameras.

From a money standpoint, an off-contract phone makes absolutely no sense for me. A T-Mobile Jump contract is 18 months and allows 3 upgrades. It's roughly $25/month for the phone I want (Note 5 or 6S Plus) on a lease. Total that's $450. Even at a traditional 24 month lease, it comes out to $600. It's cheaper. I wish Google allowed that.

I have no problem leasing phones given how quickly the tech evolves.

$650 is actually for the 128 gig model... but yeah they are still expensive.
Looks like I wont be buying one for another year or so. Will probably get the 6P when they announce the new one and prices drop. The regular 6 is so amazingly cheap now, and still great so Ill just wait till the same happens with the P.
