Nice work on the S6 Squirties. I thought you were going the E63 AMG wagon route though?
No, though perhaps a bit ignorant.is this a troll post?
Not really. While he wasn't driving he was certainly participating.... Unless we are insisting that the driver was driving calm and reasonably as Paul prefered until Paul leaned down to grab the next CD at which point he floored it and crashed the next corner with Paul yelling at him to slow down.you just said in your first sentence that he wasn't driving, so the proceeding rant is kinda misdirected, don't you think?
Digging around a lot to find stuff on this now... Hard to find info as its all RIP WALKER stuff when you search his name... But its almost all car shows. He did race in the Redline time attack challenge in 2010, but I can only find his name in the results of 1 eventnot to mention, almost entirely inaccurate. a quick google search results in quite a few number of articles and videos of track events/car clubs that paul was active and participated in.
Yeah, he definitely seemed to race a lot. Most results show his as kind of a back runner, but whatever.... It looks like he made his money in finance and paid to drive, there are a lot of guys like this at the levels he was running... That doesn't mean he should be throwing a high strung car around the streets at triple digit speeds. Some hooning around I get... but public roads are no place for that kind of speedalso not to mention, the guy that was driving, mr rodas was a total track junkie and by all accounts not a bad driver behind the wheel.
Yeah, its a very bad idea to push such an unforgiving car on public and unpredictable roads where there are so many variable and surface conditions are likely to not be clean/smooth/nicely coated in rubber, sometimes motor vehicles, especially ones like the carrera gt when being pushed within a certain level of its limits and the drivers, have a tendency to teach you things about it in a very unforgiving manner.
He raced in the World Challenge series. He was a racecar driver because he was a successful businessman who bought a race team and gave himself a seat. That is how it works at that level.professional race car drivers
Certainly sad, but that doesn't mean it isn't justified. Particularly when its a guy who is paid to pretend to be a race car driver, and a guy who pays to be a race car driver treating the road like its their private track.just a sad situation and ironic all at the same time but i don't think your rant is justified imo(sans the ryan dunn part).
Seriously though Star Wars spoilers is insta infraction. It will happen. Avoid that ****, because I will come after you for it.

The Force Awakens was a bit disappointing. My thoughts while I can remember most of it -
I'm spoiling the entire film.
Overall I enjoyed it very much, but it did let me down from a fresh episode standpoint.
(I left out the Spoiler section as it does become visible after quoting.)
I wanted to highlight that section because you usually offer fun quips... But I made it this far and i'm seeing it Saturday and I don't want to ruin myself, even though spoilers haven't really had an effect on me with other movies.
You'll enjoy it. If you can make it until Saturday (hopefully some knob on FB doesn't ruin it) it'll be worth it.
I wanna go see it again in 3D after the holiday is over. Ren is a badass.

[spoil]I heard from numerous sites that VII brought back the magic ingredients that made IV-VI so great. That it was an extension of the original trilogy. About halfway through VII I realized it was almost identical to the original three films. It all seemed like different snippets pieced together with newer characters. Rey reminds me of Luke a lot. The ultimate story is her honing the Force like Luke. I love Daisy Ridley by the way. She did a phenomenal job and is a great actress.
Ren and Snoke are Vader and Palpatine. Kylo is a badass though and I love his helmet and slender appearance in certain parts of the film (made him more of an agile villain where I always felt Vader was a bit cumbersome). Snoke displays tremendous power and exudes great fear. I liked how they didn't really expand on his character. Episodes VIII and IX should really flush things out.
Captain Phasma's armor is badass. I was extremely excited to see how her plot line played out, but she felt like a big after thought. She probably had 10 minutes of screen time total. I wish she would have fought after being held hostage, but that probably would have been the death of her. Hopefully she plays a bigger role in the next episode. Did I mention her armor is ****ing badass? Because it's ****ing badass.
I understand both parties have evolved through different phases (mainly defeat), but it feels like the New Order is the Empire with new helmets.
The Starkiller Base and ultimately the destruction of it felt identical to the Death Star.
Solo's death felt identical to Obi-Wan's death. It was a great scene though from an atmosphere standpoint.
Now I understand that all of these are an evolution of past events, and would be very common, but it all felt too similar and too readily mirroring previous events.
The transitions between major scenes were also identical to the original series.
Three of the funniest scenes I remember -
The first is when Rey and Finn are escaping and she calls the Millennium Falcon a pile of garbage. The second is when Rey said, "You're the one that did the Kessel run in 14 parsecs???" and Han gets irritated. The final is when they're trying to break into the Starkiller Base and Chewie is complaining about the cold.
I thought BB-8 was a fantastic replacement to R2-D2 (the main character droid role). The separate head allowed him to show a tremendous amount of emotion along with his beeps and boops.[/spoil]
Overall I enjoyed it very much, but it did let me down from a fresh episode standpoint.
Woke up in Seattle this morning. I think I'll wear my Docs and a flannel and play some Nirvana.
You must have a god awful sleepwalking problem.
Pretty spot on with your review.
[spoil]The movie definitely was an amalgamation of plot points from the previous trilogy. They did flip some of them on their head though.
I feel the scene between Ben and Han on the bridge could have gone either way with Han putting an end to Ben's pain in the reverse fashion. There was some definite tension in that scene. By it ending the way it did it made Kylo Ren a villain to be truly hated.
I think the evolution of Kylo Ren as a villain is the best story in the film. You can see parallels with him an Anakin from the last trilogy especially with Kylo's lack of composure in the face of adversity. He is not a fully formed Dark Jedi but definitely has some powers unseen with other Force users in the movie. The ability to stop the blaster fire mid air being one of them.
I liked the movie but it was by no means perfect and mirrored the original trilogy a little too much for my liking.
I thought another funny scene was Han taking Chewie's blaster and commenting on how much he liked it while they were fighting off the First Order on the forest planet.

On a personal level, lost 50 lbs this year. Went from 233 at the beginning of the year to 183. I'm 6'2''. First time in a long while people actively notice me and smile when I say hello. Pretty nice feeling.
Had to share.
Well done. Glad others are noticing the results too.
thats flippin awesome. keep it up man
Thanks you guys! Was really easy to do, but my discipline level needed some work. Just used myfitness pal (it's free!) and logged all calories. Then started making my workouts more productive and longer. Then started taking a journal to the gym to write down how much I was doing. This was a big piece as I was never making any progress. Then I started cardio.
I would get on the treadmill and by the end of the hour each session...I would look down and a trail of sweat was on the belt alone. It was depressing but needed to be accepted how rough shape I was in. I started cooking all my meals. Eggs/Chicken/Tuna/sweet potatoes replaced Tim Hortons breakfasts (I am Canadian ha). I learned to deal with hunger by appreciating the pain over heading to Subway to order a depression twelve inch sub.
Then everything kind of happened at once. I think I lost something like 30 pounds in just a few weeks. Woosh effect is real, and everyone I know commented on how thin my face was looking. A girl coworker said that I now looked conventionally attractive, and I could not make a response.
Now I've started making my own exercises. I'll meditate daily followed by stomach vacuums and then my own varient of a leg left...thing on an exercise ball. I've never seen anything like it on the internet so I'm calling it my own creationbut it makes my lower abs want to puke in happy pain.
1. No fast food. It's cheaper to mass cook healthy meals and freeze it.
2. Enjoy cardio. Go up stairs, use a rowing machine, try sports out, adventure.
3. Log your food and your workouts.
4. Be patient.
That's all it took. Pretty nice![]()
