North Bay Battalion 2022-23 Season Thread

Imo, Battalion or Petes.
It really might come down to seeding. I would not give Barrie much of a chance vs Ottawa; but with stellar goaltending, I would not be shocked if the colts upset either of the Battalion or Petes.
Out of frustration I have taken a break from these boards and all the trade deadline nonsense.
I'm sorry but this team isn't winning anything this season unless they start working as a team rather than individuals. They are playing selfish hockey and the hard working, well coached teams like Ottawa and Barrie are going to embarrass us should we meet either in the post season.
They have all the tools but aren't working together. They need a major adjustment or we could be watching the rest of the post season after the first round by a hard working team like Sudbury or Oshawa.
I hope I'm wrong but they sure aren't showing anything impressive over the last month.
Beating a Jr B team like Niagara doesn't count.

Battalion 7 - Icedogs 2 or Battalion 2 - Wolves 1 or ‘67s 8 - Frontenacs 1 are wins. Teams looking to win championships should be finding ways to win every game.
Winning every game they should is impressive and a big reason the ‘67s are in first place. Smashing weaker teams willing to chase the ‘67s D behind their goal means little.
Playing a disciplined team that won’t chase while the ‘67s D stands behind the net until refs threaten delay of game and have a very similar defensive style like London can result in a 0-0 game and SO loss. A 1-0 regulation win vs a contender would have been far more impressive.
Nice to finally see a few "big clappers" from Nelson rather than those lame A$$ wristers. Thought Turley looked good, didn't miss Lukin!

Great win. Therrien’s fight turned the tides as we started hitting and playing aggressively after that tilt.
That’s what this team should look like. Buckle up friends, hopefully they’re pulling it all together.
Also a couple of great defensive by Petroc as well. It shows how deep we are with our top line only getting one assist and a combined -4 and we put up a converted touchdown.

100%. The on ice product is one thing. But absolutely 0 other incentives to go. No promotions. In arena entertainment is god awful but credit to sarge for giving it his all. Even STH benefits and worthless in comparison to other teams
