We give out free food, free clothes, free meth and free lodgings....when was the last time we saw a minor hockey team in here. How bout $5 kids tickets? How bout buy 1 get 1? How bout .....JM is only interested in 200-300 Corp sponsored tiks. Help the little guy!
We will see what happens next year when the cupboards are empty and the OA's are gone if he wants to see lack of attendance. Stop the whining and appreciate the crowds he's getting. He only owns the team as a hobby.

It would suck for me because I like a team in NB, but another team in the east would be good for the division and Hamilton. Maybe Cornwall can get another crack at a franchise and be the next location for the battalion

It’s going to be a sad day and I fear that day isn’t too far away. Same reason we lost the team last time.

Cornwall needs a team and the OHL needs Cornwall. Unfortunately, that requires a new rink. As far as I am aware, the existing rink cannot be modified in a way that makes sense for the new OHL model.

Cornwall is in a Much better financial situation than they were 10-15 years ago but with Covid and a lot of funding issues resulting from covid, I doubt any Ontario communities would invest in that type of infrastructure.

That means it would likely need to be heavily funded privately. Maybe some sort of multi-pad complex anchored by a major local sponsor but I am not sure Cornwall has that type of corporate body willing and able to contribute.

I think this is a common thread for most viable OHL communities. Cornwall is big enough to support a team with 45,000 population but it is somewhat isolated to a degree. It would require a very agressive business plan to get anything done. Again, not dissimilar to other Ontario towns.

I doubt he'll get a better deal than he has here. We should be calling the arena "The Scott Abbott Arena" He has 90 - 95% of all events in the arena. (I have the contract plus his affidavit). If he'd appreciate his STH a little more maybe more people would come to few games. We basically get our seat and 10% off battalion merchandise. Big deal. No ticket redemption night on games that we miss. This is the first year we get 4 buddy passes to give out.
This doesn't help out the STH. It helps him.
Term: July 1/13 to June 30/28 with an option to extend for an additional two (2) five year
periods. Keep in mind he is free to leave at anytime. This is my rant for the day.

The Buddy passes are good for any game of the regular season.

Just chiming in because I'm always curious on how other teams treat their STH. Here in Hamilton we can trade any and all unused tickets in for any other game. Of course this is easy for them to do with the building size.

They better hope they don’t face Hamilton in the playoffs. Out everything tonight. Lucky to pick up a point.
Is it just me or does anyone else feel Bloom looks uninterested out there they last couple of games?
Maybe he’s nursing an injury but he certainly doesn’t have the same jump he did when he first came over.
Tough one for Nelson in the GWG but he’s got to be focused on controlling the puck first before heading up the ice to try to be the OT hero. It’s a fine, fine line.
Dom was amazing yet again and 12/27/22 is starting to look like our #1 line, they were outstanding all night………again.

Sudbury owner in the crowd today amongst a large group of their fans. Imagine that kind of interaction with the people who buy the tickets. People from North Bay here in section 2 recognize him but don’t even know who our owner is.
A hometown guy who cares about his team and community while our guy sits in his luxury box that the City doesn’t ever collect revenue from.
