I mean i think so, but really 3 or 4 is pretty tight so i can't say either of us are wrongCool.
Is Sawyer really a #3? I thought more of a solid enough #4 without any real stand out quality.

As you stated, adding a 19 yr old D can’t hurt the team Not short term at least. That was a lot to give up. Shakes head!!
But we traded a 19 yr old dman in Gauvreau. I don't see how that helps the D. Too much IMO.As you stated, adding a 19 yr old D can’t hurt the team Not short term at least.
It’s probably a fair price as Bloom was going to go for the equivalent of Sima, 2-2nds, 2-3rds imo.
Maybe the battalion got matching rights for Mintyukov
NB doesn't have enough picks left to get MintyukovAs you stated, adding a 19 yr old D can’t hurt the team Not short term at least.

The picks are more important than the player to SAG. Then they can trade for whoever the stud is in 2 years to put beside MisaI mean they still have Procyszyn. If Im Saginaw starting price on Pavel is a 06 1st rounder
I think you'll quickly see Sima outplay the others. Great move for his future, perhaps time with Misa will help.great upgrades. Unfortunately sima odd man out being outplayed by teammates. Hopefully our D can be more favourably slot now.
That’s a serious move by a team with serious aspirations! Let’s do it!
Thoughts on lineup look post trade?
Sure they do; 2(2nds & 3rds), 5-4ths, 15-5ths + 6ths, and Lukin should do it.NB doesn't have enough picks left to get Mintyukov
Drinkill before hanging up the phoneSure they do; 2(2nds & 3rds), 5-4ths, 15-5ths + 6ths, and Lukin should do it.
I think the McDonalds/Jackson experiment has already shown us that it doesn't work. Jackson needs to distribute the puck and McDonald is a shoot first guy.My guess would be :
Bloom - Jackson - McDonald
Tarasevich - Wakely - Petrov
Ertel - Arnsby - Van Steensel
....good trades in the past with Sagnasty....last C we traded for....nick moutrey... helped with cup run....the dangler...zack bratina who got concussed here..... hate losing 17 yr old Sima......My guess would be :
Bloom - Jackson - McDonald
Tarasevich - Wakely - Petrov
Ertel - Arnsby - Van Steensel
Getting Hislop now may have been a move they had to make. Nelson, Chistopolous, Lukin and Hislop is a good top 4 - but when Mathurin and Winslow get back? That's a back end (coupled with a 4 line offence) that could give teams in the OHL a *lot* of problems to deal with. Though if you ask me, the dealing (I don't *think* ) is done yet; maybe some depth in the bottom 6 and recoup some of the picks lost in this deal....what does everybody think - or is there another big deal coming? It takes guts to make a big deal like this early - I think Adam Dennis is waving that "all in " flag sooner than we may think.Veteran defencemen Tnias Mathurin and Avery Winslow are injured again. This duo missed the start of the year, returned, then got hurt again.
“Looks like he (Mathurin) is out quite a bit longer than we thought,” says Oulahen.
Some moving parts I’d guess as there’s 3 maybe 4 top 6 LW.great upgrades. Unfortunately sima odd man out being outplayed by teammates. Hopefully our D can be more favourably slot now.

If a significant LD upgrade was available to the battalion with out costing Procyszyn, I think the team would add in place of Winslow or Lukin.Getting Hislop now may have been a move they had to make. Missassauga might only tinker a bit. I doubt they trade their ‘06-1st.With Ottawa at the top, and Peterborough making the deal(s), NB couldnt sit back and wait. Look for Missy to try to get into the deals soon. Only so many high end guys available. Look to see Barrie sell off if continue to falter. Teams are starting to separate and making decisions if they have what it takes to go for it or not. Ottawa got a ton of picks to go for high end guy.
It is believed to be a labrum issue and non surgical procedures haven't worked for him. I think he is having surgery this week - I don't think NB can expect him back this year or at best not until March.Does anyone know the extent of Mathurin's shoulder injury? By my count this is the 3rd time he has been out of the lineup. Hope he can get back to playing soon.
Imo, NB gets the raw end of the scheduling deal time and time again. It's a factor for sure. I hate when they do the Kingston, Peterborough and Ottawa trip - 3 games in 42 hours and the 67s are always off Saturday night well rested for the Sunday afternoon game. PMO!!!So the schedule-maker has the team on the road in Barrie - which has a later 7:30 start - meaning they get home in the wee hours - and then schedules an afternoon game the next day. Yes, they're young and fit but a little more time in between games would be better planning. They could have at least made the Barrie game an afternoon game. Other teams probably go through similar annoying scheduling but you would think something more efficient could be done.
