So the schedule-maker has the team on the road in Barrie - which has a later 7:30 start - meaning they get home in the wee hours - and then schedules an afternoon game the next day. Yes, they're young and fit but a little more time in between games would be better planning. They could have at least made the Barrie game an afternoon game. Other teams probably go through similar annoying scheduling but you would think something more efficient could be done.

Barrie played last night making your afternoon suggestion a little contradictory. It happens quite often when teams show up here on Sunday afternoons. Kitchener is in Sudbury tonight then here tomorrow.

Glad things were shuffled up to wake up wakely and romani. This team is dangerous with the depth engaged!

Another impressive win!
What an amazing game by Nelson, could be the best game he's played. He was flying and while very responsible in his own end he was jumping up on the rush a lot.
Things are getting thin on the backend with Lukin leaving early.
Aside from the two defensive gaffs that led to both Barrie goals we have to be happy overall with the D we have right now.

Nelson is a beast up and down. Everyone else deserves a shout out though. Making it work through tough times. Not even having to outscore opponents from lack of D. Solid all around! Dom will keep it close regardless, will be a star in this league

If this is the year to go all in we'll need a trade or two or Fantilli showing up. I hope they don’t just settle on what we currently have because it’s not consistent enough to go all the way IMO.

7 straight followed by a stinker (with #2 and #3 D out and 2/3 rookies on D) is not consistent enough?
Figures there were very few posts when they were winning, one loss and folks are back and whining.

Some don't feel we need help on the backend? O/A #8 with a second serious injury/surgery in less then a year! Will he recover an be the player he was? Solid soon to be 19 year old #5 with multiple shoulder injuries and lost games played. Is he one more solid hit from missing the rest of this season? Do you cross your fingers and hope for the best? Adding a 19 year old dman is not going to hurt this lineup.

At this point sure we could use help but why rush a deal now, trade deadline is 2 months away and we're winning so there should be no fear of missing the playoffs. Again, one loss in 9 games, no need to panic now. Get players back, assess then strengthen team just like every team who has "went for it" has done. Perhaps Mr Dennis is on the phone right now plotting his All-in strategy. They don't hand out championships in November folks.

Like I said, adding a 19 year old veteran dman now won't hurt this team and will be cheaper to obtain then waiting 2 months when 5-6 teams are looking for the same thing. Plus, it will lighten the load on #4 & #24 until injured players return. Depth and experience!

Notes from Tuesday’s workout:

After last week’s swing and miss prediction on the playing status of Tnias, I will only report what I saw and let others predict:

Mathurin – in regular colours, was fully engaged in drills.

Podolioukh – as above.

Jackson and Nelson – both were still wearing full facial protection.

McDonald – must have been well camouflaged, couldn’t locate him on the premises.

Teams will always entertain offers, but will not be pressured into a trade for 6-7 weeks.
You’re going to settle for 19 yr old depth and experience such as Sawyer for 2 & 3 picks to sit one of Lukin or Kennedy in a few weeks?
There are less non-elite but acceptable 1st-pairing/ideal #3 types available to choose from now and will cost nearly the same amount as a larger pool to choose from at the trade deadline…see value traded for Keane and Guryev. Hache was supposedly = Outwater (6, 5, 4, 3, 2) picks.
Good luck attempting to pry Kyrou or Mintyukov at a reasonable price right now.

like who?
Not many, if any is my point. You might have to slightly over pay if requesting a certain player from a team that is uncertain about selling and/or does not feel pressured to trade prior to the Christmas break.
Keane and Guryev were not early bargains imo.

I think he's saying there aren't as many available now as there will be after world juniors.
he said there are depth #3 guys available now, im not sure who he is refering too, there may be a few i guess? every team wants guys like sawyer but there isnt much out there. flint may be shopping one but hes more a 5/6.
i guess sudbury/soo maybe too?

My words were, ‘less to choose from now than at the deadline’ and ‘will likely cost nearly the same now as at the deadline’.
I could not really state (none) because the offer may be to good to pass up. I very much doubt the Petes’ were in any sort of need to trade Guryev

i guess that makes sense. there is one that ive heard that i would say is a 3, different then sawyer but same type of player. a few 05s that are depth guys with upside, an 04 who is a 5 at best. those names are the ones that are circling around the league

Cool.
Is Sawyer really a #3? I thought more of a solid enough #4 without any real stand out quality.

Brzustowski could be considered a #3 and might be available, but after the Boucher slewfoot incident I'm not sure how close he would be to returning.
