Fun game so far. But this halftime show is absolutely shit. The 200 background dancers and the cool suspended stages are great, Rihanna is pretty bad though

FWIW, Bradbury, who was called for on that penalty, said it was a good call, he pulled his jersey. He owned up to it.
The call itself was ... whatever. Maybe there was the tiniest bit of a tug, maybe not. Bradburys probably just being a professional. The call didnt really matter i think. KC was going to get 3 regardless and likely win. I was just salty watching the KC receiver sliding at the 1 and then KC taking 2 knees. It was just a completely unsatisfying end to a really good game (but obviously the right move by KC).

It was by the book a penalty.

I don't mind Rihanna, but that was one of the worst halftime shows that I've ever seen.
Well she is pregnant so its not like she can do all that much dancing and what not. So it makes sense.

Agreed. The call from my POV was extremely ticky tacky, especially for the final 2 minutes of the Super Bowl.

Eh; if they didn't call it, other fans would have complained. The refs were in a no-win situation with that call.
You let them play it out in that case. You don’t decide the game on a “maybe it was, maybe it wasn’t” penalty. Not like the pass was catchable. Mahomes overthrew him by like 5-7 yards high and outside.

But it wasnt a "maybe it was maybe it wasnt" call, it was by the book a penalty. The penalty happened before he threw the ball man.

The game was decided because the Chiefs scored on every single possession of the 2nd half, if they dont do that the Eagles win, Dont forget the Eagles had a 10 point lead. Maybe that vaunted Eagles defense who people were trying to compare to the 85 Bears should of gotten atleast 1 sack, maybe the Eagles STs unit shouldnt of let Toney have his Percy Harvin moment in the SB.

First off, it doesn't matter if the pass was catchable or not. That only matters if it was pass interference. Secondly, Defensive holding (which this was) occurs before the throw is even made. It is when a defensive player holds the receiver and hinders them from evading the defender. What happened was a text book defensive holding call.

The problem with these calls is yes, they are inconsistent. There are probably half a dozen defensive holding calls that get missed, but when the game is on the line, you bet that the refs are going to be watching everything even more closely.

It wasn't a bad call in the context of what a defensive holding is. Most people are assuming defensive holding = pass interference when it isn't.

I'm convinced NFL games are fixed.
NHL games are fixed and so are NBA and MLB. That's sports these days.

The game would have just as much been in the refs hands by NOT calling it. By rule, it was a penalty.

The Eagles lost the game long before that penalty, by allowing the Chiefs to go on a 4+min final drive leading up to that with just over 5mins left in the game in the first place, after giving up a 10pt halftime lead.

I don't believe that the final 2 minutes of the game should be called any differently than the previous 58 minutes. I agree that it sucks that the game had to end the way it did, but the call was not bogus. There was definitely holding on that play and the flag was rightly thrown.

I don't think the refs should be blamed for making the call, rather the defender should be blamed for holding on that play.
