It had been awhile but this is what I was referencing:Cover 2 is still pretty common, especially for teams that struggle with man coverage which our D has proven time and again, it was incapable of doing.
The Bills play Cover 2 quite a bit... no surprise considering Frazier is their D coordinator, but they have far superior players back there, so they have a lot more success. They can mix in man coverage and do very well.
It's not Cover 2 alone that's the problem, it's the fact that most of our secondary is slow as hell, both in reaction time and in actual speed.
