Vikings now have the 32nd ranked defense, as the Lions moved into 31st today (yards per game).

Thanks to the 32nd ranked pass defense for the majority of the season. You can't have such a terrible secondary without it costing the entire defense so much. This defense was about as predictable as it gets. It's not a coaching issue, it's a player personnel issue with the DBs.

BTW - we saw what the blitz does this week for this defense... most of the time? Hangs a bad secondary out to dry and gets ripped. They blitzed a season high 31% of the time and was mostly ineffectual, leading to big plays for the Lions. That's why they were picking their spots much of the year... and why they really need to continue. You need to have coverage skills if you plan to blitz a lot, the Vikes don't have that.

They aren't playing like a true 11-3 team but they have played one of the toughest schedules in the NFL.

8 of the top 11 defenses (5 of the top 6), and potentially 9 playoff teams.

That Vikings game yesterday, just wow.... And to have the referees literally make two of the worst calls against us I have ever seen to cause us to lose points and we still were able to come back and win... I just don't know.

Along with JJs TD being called back before the 2 minute warning last week because the refs "thought he stepped out of bounds"

Crazy how the refs dont let plays like that be played out because its going to get reviewed regardless.
