It was fun while it lasted. Think I'll root for whoever wins between England and Senegal the rest of the way.
 
For the 1st time in 101 years the Bears (one of the founding franchises) aren't the franchise with the most wins in the NFL. 101 years is just a crazy timeframe to me.

If England played their bench then they would probably get out of the group stage. Wilson, Trippier, Rashford, Grealish, Sterling, Pope, and on, and on.

The team that beat them today... I'd like to brag about my Packers, but they are unwatchable for me this year and undeserving of praise right now.

I was just commenting on the 101 year run the Bears had because it is an amazing stat to me.

Theyve got a lot of talent. Watched pretty much every game of theirs during the Euros.
 
MN got shafted on their Bowl game. The Pinstripe bowl against Syracuse. Yuck, an outdoor game (cold) in NYC against a team a home state team. NYC is cool to see and all, but I wouldn't do it in the winter (again).

Eh, maybe they should win more. They had a really easy sked this year, and mediocre results.

I mean UW, who had a worse season, is at least going to Tempe AZ.

I guess I consider some Bowl game locations (DET, NYC, Utah, basically anywhere cold) as really undesirable.
 
Verlander (turning 40) signed a $43.3m x 2 (with a $35m 3rd year option) with the Mets. In those 3 years he'll make $20m more than MacKinnion will make on the 8 year deal he just signed. Starting pitchers just make insane amounts of money.

Yeah, they do, bit I will say that Verlander is the best pitcher of his generation, and a surefire HOF'er.

Verlander has been great his whole career. I also know a big chunk of his paycheck is to take them places in the postseason. It's just a lot of money.

He hasn't been good in the World Series, 1-6 with a 5.63 ERA.

In the ALDS he's 8-1, and the ALCS he's 7-4 with a 3.0# ERA in both. Those are quality stats imo.
 
Am I reading the betting lines correctly? The Lions were 2 point favorites over the Vikings?
 
Vikings now have the 32nd ranked defense, as the Lions moved into 31st today (yards per game).
