Correa and Buxton on the same team. Wow. Ton of money, but for a short term. All made possible by dumping all of Donaldson's contract. Well done, though the stink of the Astros still follows him.

Agree about pitching. We have next to nothing.

Found a way to save money on those Barr jerseys going to waste, didn't they? Just take off Barr, put on Smith, good to go!
Thank you Rodgers for signing that ridiculous contract!

Also thanks Danielle for the restructure.

You're way too happy for a guy who's team is probably gonna go 9-8 and finish behind the Pack (yet again). I get it though, celebrate when you can...

You're way too confident in the team that's jettisoning top end talent :)

Seriously, more or less, I just hate Rodgers as a person.

The draft hasn’t happened yet and the Packers have four picks in the top 60 to get some receivers. The rest of the team is looking good. Losing Z’Darius isn’t the end of the world considering he played one game last year.

It generally takes 3 years to develop receivers. Took 4 to develop Davante Adams.

Not saying it's guaranteed to take that long, but you usually can't count on a draft to fill such vacancies so quickly.

Whose your top WR target? It is definitely is a good WR draft, one of the best so it’s definitely a good year to reload there

Adams was playing third fiddle to prime Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb. Sprinkle in a little James Jones in there as well. Any receiver picked will have the opportunity to be the prime target. Kind of the like the Vikings going from Diggs to Jefferson.

I don’t follow college football much outside of the Badgers, but probably some guy from Ohio St or Alabama. It looks like Olave (OSU) is going to be around the Packers first pick.

Jefferson is the exception not the rule. After Moss left, the Vikings were starving for receivers, drafting them regularly and it took until Diggs developed as a draft pick and Thielen developed as a walk on before they found any.

Like I said though, it's not a guarantee it will take 3 years, but 3 years is the "expectation" period. If you're counting on a draft pick, you need to get lucky to get such success out of them so soon.

"Competitive rebuild" is what he's calling it, and I think he's finding a way thus far... still a ways to go because of our lack of a secondary still, but we'll see what happens.

Full presser can be seen here, but it won't be viewable embedded.

Maybe it's just me but I really like him as a GM. Well articulated and seems to know how to find talent within means.

I think it's funny he said that running a team isn't binary - you're not necessarily either tearing it apart and rebuilding or all in and going for it, it's more often a balance between the two. That's literally what I said about GMBG in handling the trade deadline.

I was the Vikings GM for the HFNHL 3 round mock draft, any thoughts?
