Is it common to retire numbers for guys that have been retired for 39 years?
Jackie Robinson immediately comes to mind. But nobody in the Twins org.

Hope that isn't a prerequisite, not that the Vikings would care in any eventWonder what Jenn Sterger is up to?

Kellen Moore rumored to want the vikings HC job.
I wouldn't be opposed depending on the coordinators he would bring in. I'd like some more experience on the defensive side of the ball, and ideally someone whose been an HC before. Vic Fangio maybe?
Just promote Andre to run the defense. He has the number 1 offense in the league currently so i would assume any OC he does bring in is more of a Brad Childress to Andy Reid rather than another Kellen Moore.I wouldn't be opposed depending on the coordinators he would bring in. I would be surprised if the Vikings went with another old school defensive-minded coach after just firing an old school defensive-minded coach.

Fair points across the board, although my initial thinking was maybe the old-school Defensive coordinator mindset wouldn't be as prevalent as a coordinator vs a HC but I see your points.
I would be hesitant to hire a DC with HC experience just for the simple ego factor if we did hire Kellen Moore as the HC as a rookie HC and an old school DC who used to be a HC might have a bit too many complications with their opinions and brain trusts. obviously it could go well and everything amazing but I see it more likely going the other direction.Fair points across the board, although my initial thinking was maybe the old-school Defensive coordinator mindset wouldn't be as prevalent as a coordinator vs a HC but I see your points.
That's usually the most logical process.Isn't the first order of business to hire a GM, who then hires a HC, who hires his Coordinators?
its the most logical but its hard to pass up on what seems like a sure fire HC just because you dont have a gm yet.Isn't the first order of business to hire a GM, who then hires a HC, who hires his Coordinators?
any of those names excite you?

Catherine Raiche's name is certainly interesting. Would she be the first woman to interview for an NFL GM position?
well that was it for me, i didnt really know any of them. some people just randomly have knowledge of those people and why they would be good or bad so thought i would ask. They shouldn't really excite anybody because nobody has ever heard of any of them before.
