Clean body check by Blunden, Rangers jump him and somehow, manage to get a 5 on 3 out of this. Pathetic refs

4th straight PP for Rangers in 10 first minutes :shakehead

that clean check was thrown by the sixth man on the ice.

hence, not clean.

He was the 6th man on the ice and interfered with the play. He had no right to join the play, let alone level someone who wasn't expecting it. Pretty sure that's going to be the rational that you hear from the league, too. I don't see how you think someone should just be allowed to jump onto the ice and clock someone and only have a too many men call be the end result.

That is not the rule. If you make a play with too many men, its one penalty, not two.

There is no rule to give someone 2 minutes for interference for hitting someone with the puck.

Somehow I'm not surprised this thread exists. 6th man on the ice throws a hit right off the bench, yeah, that's a terrible call.

The Habs should stop playing undisciplined hockey.

It's not a clean hit if there are already five guys on the ice. He deserved a penalty.

Dubinsky knew there were five guys. He wasn't expecting a sixth to just hop out in front of him.

Get used to being screwed over against NYR. Same thing happened to Ottawa, but the Sens beat them despite the officials trying to screw them over the whole game.

I won't bring conspiracies into this (like NYR fans do) but yeah, officiating has been lopsided in Rangers' favour.

EDIT: Yes, 2 minutes were deserved for having too many men, but how the Rangers got 5 on 3 out of that is ridiculous.

Yeah it has I forgot to mention they kicked out montreals defensive center too ontop of those **** calls.

That was a legit call. Both players got game misconducts for being the 2nd fight

He wasn't? Some random idiot just jumped onto the ice and clocked him. Dubinsky saw 5 guys out on the ice. All of a sudden, there is a 6th who levels him.

Again, I don't see why anyone would think you should be allowed to just jump onto the ice and level someone and not get called for anything more than too many men. There was both a too many men infraction along with that hit. There are two penalties there. He interfered with the play when he had no right to join it.

No, you can put as many people on the ice as you want your just going to get a penalty for it, that's the too many men. I'm not sure who the random guy is but a player for Montreal made a clean hit. Why don't we say that the guy who didn't get off in time was the extra man and Blunden should have been on the ice.

is a disgrace... Nokelainen with a clean body check on Dubinsky, Rangers retaliate and somehow end up with a 5 on 3, on which they score a goal.

Should have been 5 on 5 (or 4 on 4)

Pathetic.

So you think you should be able to just randomly jump off the bench and nail a guy as long as its clean?????

What about a 7th, 8th, 12th guy? LOL

Brutal reffing, I'll openly admit it.

But it shouldn't be a surprise, refs are inconsistent in this league. I can't remember how many times the Rangers were screwed by the Refs, the thing is the penalties will probably even out later in the game.
