Eh, i'd argue it's a combination of strength and skating. He's not a good enough skater to only rely on it, but it's not too far off from being good enough to let the rest of his skillset shine.

I wouldn’t say Newhook is especially strong either. He’s an above average skater with good straight line speed. That’s as a whole for the league. For his size, he’s purely average in the NHL.

I think Newhook needs a limited role and to be a complementary player.
