Newhook’s skating is a large part of the problem. Skating is a lot more than straight line speed.

Eh, i'd argue it's a combination of strength and skating. He's not a good enough skater to only rely on it, but it's not too far off from being good enough to let the rest of his skillset shine.

Back in the day, Martin Skoula had all the talent in the world but could be taken off the puck very easy. That may turn out to be Newhook's issue as well. I hope your are right though ...

Newhook could only dream of having that kind of puck poise though.

They're very similar players.

Too far… Newhook is a better skater but a decent amount. Not levels above but better.

Newhook has a much better shot and better vision too. Beyond that a lot of similarities. Newhook is better Jost. How much better is a large question right now.
