Newhook has too much talent, he's going to be a 50+ pt player eventually.

The question is if the Avs can wait for him to become that player.
Rob Schremp might be in the top 50 of most purely talented players to play in the NHL over the last two decades. He could never get close to putting it together. Takes more than talent. Along with that, Newhook’s pure talent probably caps in the 55-60 range, which I would say doesn’t make him at all a sure thing 50 pt guy.

Same exact things were said about Jost
Jost couldn't skate, a pretty big requirement these days and lived off his 'potential' based off the NCAA and few good spurts.

I just have a hard time seeing Newhook not putting it together at some point based off his skating and shot alone.

Newhook’s skating is a large part of the problem. Skating is a lot more than straight line speed.
