Sandin played a great game. Looks good on the PP.

Kampf was excellent. Does the little things well.

I liked the players standing up for one another, especially Bunting. I wonder if the players feel the presence of Simmonds and Clifford. They know someone has their back.

IMO, that fourth line looked better than with the hyphens. Kampf in the middle was the key. Just gotta cut out the dumb penalties by Cliff and Wayne.

Mete in limited minutes is doing a really good job. Don’t miss Muzzin’s slow skating and key mistakes.

It would depend on what you were expecting from him. He's never going to be flashy, but he plays a good, simple, defensive game. He brings a physical edge to the team in terms of hits, but I notice that doesn't always stand out because he hasn't been searching for hits, compared to NAK for instance. He'll finish his hits on the forecheck, but I notice that he's also very good at disrupting plays with his stick. I find him a solid defensive, physical bottom 6 option for the team.

If Samsonov plays this well all year, they’ll find a way to sign him. He’s not going to ask for the moon and he could be the answer to our goaltending woes into the future. He’s still only 25.

When the Leafs are winning the usual crew brings up contract concerns for next year. Sure the media will do it as well soon.
