Crazy people are acting like Edmonton moving Hall for that return is no big deal, they were bottom 5 goals for in the league the last 5 years with him. Not as if that lineup is flush with goal scorers.

Nope. I'm furious. This is going to look bad in a few years. Hall is one dimensional player with no IQ.

Intelligent post. Hall brings nothing but scoring, and he is only averaging about 62 points per 82 games for the last two years. Honestly, NJ would have been better off with Nugent-Hopkins.

It sounds to me that the Oilers had too many forwards to protect for the expansion draft and this was an option they took.

I don't think this deal was that bad. Larsson is an excellent defenseman, he was a part of the best pair defensively by the numbers last year. I think people are both overrating Hall and underrating Larsson here.

No Hall has been solid when healthy through his career Larsson not so much. Maybe last year and 3 years ago but in between was ehhh.

That was pre-McDavid.

Taylor Hall is so underrated he's a PPG beast.

It should have been RNH for Larsson, that is closer in value (RNH still might be worth a little more) and NJ needed a C.

The two Canadian teams got ripped off today, Montreal and Edmonton. Good for the Leafs though.

Hard to score goals when you're pinned in your own zone.

Larsson has the ability to make some amazing outlet passes to start the rush. This will help Edmonton in transition.

For all those that think Edmonton got robbed. I may agree hat a plus should of come Edmontons way. But at the same time I have been on this board for years telling my oil faithfull that Hall is nothing but CANCER. I have been ripped on here for speaking what I personally know about this douch bag. Can't be happier righ now. The cancer has been removed and now the cultural of this team can thrive. Good luck New Jersey you got a player hat can drive a line by himself with the talent he has. But you also got a complete douch bag.

Trade may be in favor of NJ atm but credit to Chiarelli for finally having the guts to make the big trade that has been necessary for years now.

EDM were/are never going to get equal value for guys like Hall and RNH because of team perception.

There's no winner in this trade. Edmonton was in need of a top pair defenseman and they trade away their most valuable (of the available) assets to get a #3-4 guy. Edmonton loses. New Jersey got Taylor Hall. Guys is smart like banana. New Jersey loses.
