I just don’t see any way you trade this guy. I understand and trust what @Edge has said in the past about not wanting too many of the same guys but I have a strong feeling they find a way to keep this kid around. I can’t imagine they trade him before he plays at the NHL level, that’s not far off and should only build his value. If he is traded, I feel like there’s not a ton going with it, even for a big name.

Jones is more a Brady Skjei than an Adam Fox to be honest. I don't think Jones is as defensively responsible as Fox and Lundkvist, but still an exciting prospect. Definitely will be fun to see him battle it out with Robertson
Seriously, dude, on what planet does Zac Jones resemble Brady Skjei, of all players, in anything other than the fact that they're both LHS defensemen?

You take it one day at a time and see what the deals are. But the nice thing is that the Rangers don’t “have” to move anyone right now.

That'd be amazing.

But the expectation shouldn't be there for Nils to be another Fox, thats unfair to Nils and he just isn't that level of player. If he does hang around, I hope people give cut him a bit of slack when he resembles Pionk more than he does Fox out of the gate.
Pionk is a star now so that wouldn’t be so bad lol

The odds are extremely low that he'll be Fox BUT and this isn't some homerun argument, but the odds that Fox would be Fox were even lower. I think we expected Fox to be a good top 4 guy. Last year most liked Fox more, especially since he was a rookie but I bet even last year it would have been 60/40 people preferring Fox to TDA. And I say this again it's insanely unlikely that Lundkvist will be that just because I think Fox has perennial Norris contender potential.

I think Tampa/Nashville hybrid. We should be playing Tampa style hockey though.

We are our own creature.
GMJG was a big piece of building the Bruins winning team. Expect our teams to have that kind of feel eventually but hopefully with less asshats.

I didn't know that. Then what we are seeing (and not seeing) from Kakko and Laf etc., even the hiring of Quinn, makes much more sense to me. Not a big fan of Bruins style hockey tbh personally.

Big good wings, physical d, defense first centers opportunistic offense. I think the blue print is there but hopefully we have more skill and scoring.

Lundkvist won't be a carbon copy of Fox which is a good thing too as they have slightly different strengths. Lundkvist appears to be a better skater and have a much better shot so should be better suited to number 1 power play duties. Fox is insanely good at making the right play and being in the correct spot and using his small frame to defend. Both look like excellent passers. Not sure how strong on defense Lundkvist is, but all reports seem to suggest he is more than capable. If Nils can develop into a top dman scorer and play above average defense and with Miller, Lindgren, Hajek and others coming the Rangers should have one of the best d corps for the next decade. Not that it is necessary as much these days but fortunately Miller, Trouba and Hajek are all pretty big and by all accounts Fox and Lundkvist can hold their own in the physicality department.
