Capable - "having the ability, fitness, or quality necessary to do or achieve a specified thing" What am I mistaken about and which other player has proven themselves capable of scoring 140+ points in a season?
Having the ability, fitness, or quality necessary to do something ≠ actually doing that something. I can't believe I'm having to explain this obvious difference. Capable ≠ proven able to do.

The official NHL tie breaker is goals. Not aure the second tie break.

The NHL.com site appears to be random when you look at all the scoring race ties.

If players are tied, it is usually settled by goals. But if both are tied then its just tied.

As per NHL rules, the 2nd tie breaker is the player with fewer games played, 3rd is player scoring first goal of the season.

I had to breathe into a paper bag after watching that between the legs and then pass to an open Pointe. This guy is unreal. Hard to believe Nathan M and McDavid are close with unbelievable play too as of late. But for now Kuch is on top still. Gives a person chills watching what he does.

By all means, please enlighten us with the specific evidence supporting the notion that Kucherov possesses the ability, fitness, or requisite quality to score 140 points. Has he ever achieved 140 points in any of his previous 9 years or come close to it? Nope. Has he reached even 130 points? Nope. Was he on track for such a feat in one of his injury-shortened seasons? No. All this evidence of him being capable of scoring 140 points or more in a full season is oh so compelling indeed.

You're arguing against a definition here.

I said McD would catch him but he's been unreal and so has MacK. McD has less games played and is still behind in .ppg. Curious if he can close this gap at all. Both those guys have been unreal!

No doubt 23-25 year old crosby scores 150 in this era. He had 66 in 40 in 2011 in a far lower scoring league. I mean these guys have the same stats which tells you everything you need to know

Well, if we are going there... imagine 25 year old Jagr.lol He was in primie dead puck era where jet skiing was encouraged.lol

Ah yeah, all the 2 way guys the Kucherov never even played with. Makes a lot of sense.
Well I guess the whole team forgot how to play defense and Nikita refuses to play a 2 way game, instead he just wants another Art Ross. That plus minus is just going to keep dropping, despite his points going up considering what a PP merchant he is.

I know you're just trying to flip the McDavid narrative to Kucherov. There's only one problem with that, Tampa and Kucherov have played the 2 way game and have won multiple cups doing so. I wouldn't be talking trash until McDavid shows he can do the same.

PP merchant? LMAO

Got any other garbage takes for us?
How is it garbage? Connor was a PP merchant last year with the same % of points on the PP.
Has the narrative changed?

Yea and now that the team has lost many of their 2 way players, they are being exposed.
So yea, they USED TO, but not anymore.
