He doesn't tho lol. McDavid doesn't go on the ice with the intention of padding his stats blatantly like Kucherov. Go look up the play from the other day where he literally cherry-picked in the neutral zone with his team having only a 1 goal lead.

I love how triggered people are that I am calling it out though lol

Panarin and Pastrnak's paces would have won them the Art Ross in 12 of the 18 seasons since the '05-06 lockout, and they're sitting 4th and 5th this season, 20+ points back.

Let's not get too crazy with narratives. The seasons they are having could win the Ross in only one season for certain, 2015.

The only thing McDavid cares about is winning, clearly.

He hates individual stats so much he apologizes to his teammates when he heads to the bench. The ultimate selfless player.

Does setting the EN record kind of undermine his “instrumental to team success” argument since 10% of his points came in a scenario where his team was likely to win anyway and when there was no goalie?

I got to watch Kucherov live last night. What a selfish, selfish player. He was simply looking to pad his stats, and not even a mild attempt at helping out defensively. He didn't skate hard at all, floated to the bench, and didn't backcheck. At one point the Habs were making a comeback, pulled the goalie with 5 minutes left, and here's Kucherov standing at the RED LINE while the Habs were controlling the puck in the Lightning zone. The rest of the Lightning players are busting their balls on a back to back night, scrapping it out, and here's pretty boy not even trying, was quite pathetic. Give me Mackinnon any day for the Hart Trophy.

HF is all about undermining great players, John.
Did you miss the 400 page McDavid thread when he had 153 points?

There's a reason Kucherov gets empty net points. When the puck is on his stick he makes great decisions in his own zone. Even last night despite the long shift he stripped the player of the puck and made a great play to chip the puck off the boards to Stamkos for the ENG. He also got a couple players the puck before that who weren't able to finish on the EN.
Coop has said himself that Kuch is great at helping get the puck out from their own zone.

You'd be facing Bruins right now if the playoffs started? How have you guys fared against them?

A significantly better match-up then the Leafs or Panthers.

He set up Nick Paul twice on that shift and goon couldn't hit the empty net.

That’s not true. None of the lightning players had to bust their balls to beat the habs. Now we know you’re lying.

I watched MacKinnon last night, and I kid you not, he was building a railroad during his shift. Some say John Henry is the ultimate "steel-driving man", but for my money, give me MacKinnon. I actually saw him glance at an empty net, scoff, and fire the puck into the lower bowl instead, Craig Smith style.

A true workingman's player, and a Canadian chickpea savant to boot. Plus, he's totally a center.

He’s also doing well at ES. But it’s also a fair question to ask regarding specific arguments being made.

All three of these guys can be expected to have a decent amount of EN points. But one guy just sat a record in a league that’s over 100 years old.

It's not.
Just the natural trolling of the internet.
Mario had higher power play points % than McDavid and nobody gives a shit.

Step out of the sand box guy.

“I don’t like that” must mean “it’s not” and “trolling on the internet”.

Why don’t you write a script that everyone else has to follow. The internet doesn’t allow you to bend others to your will. Maybe that’s more of a you problem.
