I agree his coach wants him to do that on the forecheck, but that's also why separating a player from the system he's in is crucial to talent evaluation.

I don't think Cooper is telling him to cherrypick though.
so tired of denigrating any of these 3 players to prop up your guy

Pathetic. SMDH.

In fact, Kuch and McDavid doing this WITHOUT chickpea pasta....incredible.

The NHL undoubtedly has angles and views not available to the public. As said the assist wasn't originally given, they saw something that made them change that. I'll take their word over a buttmad fanboy watching ESPN replays.
I’m a Pens fan who literally doesn’t care if Kucherov wins. But again, appeal to authority. One which gets things wrong all the time.

It's a great era of hockey with these guys all in their prime in a higher scoring era again and a very exciting Art Ross all coming down to the final days. Whomever wins deserves it.

This authority happens to have much more information than you do. Just because something can sometimes be a logical fallacy doesn't mean it always is. Again, I'll go with their superior video views and angles over an ESPN replay.

Cool, and with that you will assume every call the NHL has ever looked at was correct, to be consistent right? They have the information after all.

I hate McDavid, I am so jealous of him, no one was supposed to be better than Crosby. Then McDavid came along and ruined everything, he flipped my world upside down, I have my ego stapled to Crosby and I don't know how to handle McDavid being better than him.

:help:
This is a perfect post to sum up the mindset of people on these boards. As if one player’s greatness somehow diminishes another player’s greatness.🙄

Loll. It’s like you only have read one logical fallacy and literally cannot wait to use it. Either that or I am having a scorching case of the baader–meinhof phenomenon.

I'll assume they have more info than we do and are likely to get it correct. And lets be clear, this isn't some political or intellectual question it's literally just about different/superior video views/angles. It's not an appeal to authority it's assuming they can do their job. You're also ignoring that the assist wasn't originally given, they obviously saw something that made them change that.

Since when am I a Kucherov basher? The assist was fraudulent. He didn't touch the puck nevermind possess it. The puck doesn’t change direction or speed at all.
1. I didn't call you a Kucherov bashers.
2. I was respondingvto your comment "the NHL is never wrong"
cheers

I'm bolts fan, kucherov is average at defense he is not high end selke, he dazzles with the puck control and sometimes makes the most bone headed moves where if our defense pinch we give away 2 on 1 everytime. When he enters the zone and holds the puck a while he will try to deke to get attention of players and pass to the open man. Literally that's his way of hockey. He just broke jagrs record for most assist as a winger in a season. That is quite the accomplishment. Still 7 games left, we have no clue which three players will go on tear or try for the art Ross more. All 3 players still playing for there team for playoff push easily.

after the all-star game you think the league is gonna do Kuch favors?

What's your endgame here? I'm trying to understand.

I'm surprised he's getting pushback.

At every level of hockey in Canada in every region the best players get pushed to centre.

This should hardly be controversial. It's dogma in Canadian hockey training.

You see the same thing in the US.

Look at the last 10 1st overall picks from Canada.

6 centres
2 defensemen
2 wingers
Canada is not the world, and Kucherov is not Canadian.

The 3 Russian 1OAs have all been wingers.

Of 9 European 1OAs, only 3 have been centers.

Best part is that MacKinnon’s EV Defense via JFresh is…. Also 15%.

Weird. The experts around here have been shouting a different narrative into the void.
Yeah but is Kuch playing with "a burning intensity"?

Not the clear Art Ross favorite but he should be the clear Hart favorite

His points split against top teams vs bottom and mid teams is way better than McDavid who may well win the Art Ross, and still solidly better than MacKinnon. He’s way better against top teams than bottom teams

He’ll probably get 3rd in voting though because people don’t like his personality, and lots think MacKinnon is overdue. And McDavid will always get a bunch of votes

Vs top 5 teams:

McDavid 1.18; MacK 1.17; Kucherov 1.92

Vs 6-10

McDavid 1.50; MacK 1.57; Kucherov 2.25

11-15th

McD 1.93; MacK 1.57; Kucherov 1.50

Below that, Mc and Mac keep climbing towards 2ppg while Kuch drops a bit.
