MacKinnon actually has missed stretches of games fairly frequently over the past few years. His PPG is actually quite high. His game also translates very well during playoffs. Definitely not overrated at all.MacKinnon has been overrated as hell up until the last few years. And even then it took the dude a decade playing in the league to finally hit 100 points in a season. And when they won the cup he wasn't even close to the best player. Makar was. He won the Conn Smythe. Without him, the Avs don't win that year and MacKinnon is still stuck in mediocrity. His trophy cabinet only has a cup, lady byng and a calder. That's it. Yes he's having a good season, finally but geez. People act like this guy has been top of the league every season winning tons of awards. He hasn't.
Lowkey needs to start shooting at certain times. 100 assists is nice, but McDavid's selling himself short with his missed shot opportunities, always looking for that pinpoint pass.Let’s see if McDavid can leave this game with the scoring lead. I would expect him to fall back again with both Kucherov and MacKinnon still on tap for today, but what a comeback to land there briefly just 67 days after being down by 22 points, which includes time off for the All-Star break.
It's kind of funny that as he approaches 100 assists he turns up the goal scoring.

Sometimes you gotta pretend to be humanhe wants the Rocket too
still 10 games left after today, should be doable with 4 goals per game or so
Not gonna lie, I cracked up
It was always McDavid's to lose. Mackinnon and Kucherov honestly never stood a solid chance IMO with how many points McDavid could produce in just a sample number of games. His strong reputation of being a production juggernaut and his tendencies to finish his seasons strong should've been the clear indicator that he was coming back eventually. So all tied up with equal games to go. I know who my money's on.
