Congrats to Nick. I like this- I love Dubi as a master sergeant-type, where Nick seems more like an officer, or a captain.

I don't know if Jack would care. He seems like a no-nonsense, get-his-business done type of guy. Plus, perhaps less of a spotlight would be welcomed by him after his financial woes became so public.

That said, it's a bit weird that he's not even listed as being considered after wearing an "A" since he got traded here in 2012. Tyutin has been here since 2008 and hasn't been a regular alternate to my knowledge.

I think Tyutin is a solid choice for the A, mostly because I feel like hes just a placeholder for Murray when he proves he can stay healthy.

I love Jack, but honestly with everything off the ice that has swirled around him, it pretty much means his judgement is about as askew as possible.

His parents screwing him is one thing, but then going out and getting another loan from that football player is about as ill-advised and ill-timed as possible. You'd have thought, if nothing else he'd have a professional helping him with his finances at that point.

Love his work ethic, his attitude, but that story isn't going to disappear and he needs to get that straightened out and put to bed before he could take a formal leadership position on the team IMO.

JJ did nothing wrong with that loan. If he needed money and they were willing to lend it to him, how is that his fault. The fraud was on the lender, not Jack. Jack was a part of the story, as the owners of the lending company lied to their clients, nothing else. If JJ did anything illegal, he would have been charged.
