Yes thankfully this will be over tomorrow. Then no one will spend time discussing whether it was the right decision, or bring it up whenever something good or bad happens as evidence to prove their existing point of view.
I was just referring to the act of naming a captain being completed; not the endless discussion.

Wise choice. I don't think the long delay for the captaincy was because no one stepped forward or "revealed themselves". I think we have a lot of players with great leadership qualities, and we didn't want to name someone as captain who would interfere with that. Foligno will be the captain because he has the inclusive personality type to let all of our leaders continue to be leaders.
I'm pretty sure you're wrong. He didn't have a problem with Callahan being named a captain. He was upset that they didn't give him even an A. Richards just signed with the Rags that year and was named an alternate captain instead of Dubi.

From what I heard(can't remember if it was a Rangers fan from here saying this or if I heard it from the media) but he was upset that Richards was given the "A" before he even played a single game as a Ranger.
Yep, that's what I've heard as well. In 2011 The Rangers named Callahan as the captain, while Richards and Staal were named as alternates. Dubi has played for the Rangers 300+ games at the moment and Richards just signed with them.

Best explanation of the situation I've seen yet.
Initially, I was kind of disappointed. I like Foligno and all, but I love Dubinsky's attitude and spirit and wanted him to be the guy. After reading your take, I'm buying what you're selling and Foligno as captain is much easier to take.

Curly was my favorite, but I liked Shemp as well. Had his own comedic style rather then just trying to be another Curly. The three brothers, Moe, Curley and Shemp, along with Larry. CLASSIC.
