As noted by another poster elsewhere..”Why we play soft in zone point collapse is beyond me. Opposing teams get control in zone and it’s almost like a varied power play as our center and wings collapse down low so much - no pressure on the opposing D to make quicker plays or apply pressure. Might as well play everyone below the dots. Fire Sully”

I'm so tired of the "I think Mike Sullivan is a really good coach but just not for this team anymore"....

Nope. Mike Sullivan is not a good coach.

A good coach can hold a 2 goal lead with just about any NHL team against any NHL team. The fact that it's become meme level of bad over the last 3 years of consistent blown 2+ goal leads 10+ times a season makes Mike Sullivan not a good coach. Period.

In fact, he may have never been a good coach. I need to reevaluate those 2 cup runs and perhaps those teams won in despite of Mike Sullivan, not for any reason because of him. Because, let's face it, they have done f***-all since 2017.

He needs to go before I invest time and money into this team again. And if that makes me a "not a real fan" then oh well.

They might as well pull the goalie after they get a 2-goal lead. They've been blowing multi-goal leads for years now and nothing has been done about it. It stopped being funny ages ago.
They stopped being contenders ages ago as well. They aged out, got stale and slower, pretty easy to see why they suck.

This is gonna take a few years of misery, ppl here need to accept that!

Dude is so toast. Wouldn't be shocked if he completely flames out at his next 2-3 stops and has to actually learn how to coach like Bylsma did.

random thought just occurred to me: the Montgomery firing is a great thing because Boston will probably rocket up in the standings

If anything is ever going to shake these FSG goons out of their torpor on Sullivan, it will be watching those Boston blowhards suddenly look like a SCF contender when they get the trademark new coach bump.

Monty coached the Bruins to 47 wins LAST season. Pens haven't won 47 since 2017-2018.

Pens have only won over 40 games once in the last 5 years.
All comes back to expectations by the organization.

Remember when Boston fans "warned" us that FSG was cutthroat and would get rid of anyone if they didn't perform, showing that results mattered more than loyalty? Haha good one. Literally the opposite of how they've run this team since they bought it.

Who could have expected that if you give up 85 shots a game and are continually unprepared for OT, you might lose?

I know Montgomery is available, but I'd take a literal f***ing penguin over Sully at this point.
I would definitely watch a game where a penguin is coaching the team. Probably even someone in a penguin suit.

I honestly wonder what our Jarry jock riders are gonna do with themselves when he’s washed out of the league in 4 years.
One of those is currently blaming Mike Sullivan for Kapanen being cut by St. Louis. I think we all know the answer.

The Jarry defense is equally strange because I don't recall them having that kind of energy any time Murray screwed up. In fact, I recall Murray being blamed all the time for stuff that wasn't even his fault. But mental case Jarry and his constantly unclutch performances warrants more rope than Murray and his 2 Cups did?
