Thanks for the update. Sorry to lose him .
Given our cap situation and the low value of the Canadian dollar, I would be shocked if we signed Saad.Sounds like contenders are lining up. I'll be surprised if the Senators are in the mix.

Well, I would imagine most teams are in a similar situation cap wise, since it'll be all contenders vying for him. And since their salaries are paid in USD, I doubt that's a factor, especially since he just left millions on the table to be able to stay in the league. He'll get a low salary 1 year deal like Klingberg. Thanks for the update. Sorry to lose him .

He had surgery shortly after the garrioch report and the timeline given was a couple months, no commitment on whether or not he was done for the season though. It has been 9 weeks since Cousins was injured on January 25. Garrioch said he would be out 6 to 8 weeks. I have not heard anything else reported about him. Has anyone heard anything?
Gotta find some way to fit in Gaidette's cap hit...Maybe we're doing our own fun mini version of cap circumvention
Thanks Micklebot. He had surgery shortly after the garrioch report and the timeline given was a couple months, no commitment on whether or not he was done for the season though.
Garrioch said he's likely skating again as his gear was spotted in the locker room. Thanks Micklebot.
If the surgery and healing went well we should hear some updated news any day now. Perhaps he will start skating soon. I don't have high hopes he will be back on the roster this season nor for the playoffs.
Big boost when he gets back.![]()
Ottawa Senators winger Nick Cousins may return this season

OuchHow is it that he's dressed up and still looks like a dirt bag
Yea but he's our dirtbagHow is it that he's dressed up and still looks like a dirt bag
Exactly the type of player we need for the post season.Yea but he's our dirtbag
It's the toque! How is it that he's dressed up and still looks like a dirt bag
And they are a better team with better players. Its an absolute no brainer who the sens should want to play.Exactly the type of player we need for the post season.
The main reason I want to face the Leafs over TBay is that TBay knows how to win a series.
Toronto will have a ton of pressure and collectively haven't lived up to expectations, while TBay has seen it all.
The more guys that have won for us, the better.
I'm torn. If they play TO and win..well TO always loses...if TO wins...same old OTT loses to TO jinx continues. But if they play one of the Florida teams and win...that's an accomplishment ...if they lose it's a learning experience to build on. Does this make sense? And they are a better team with better players. Its an absolute no brainer who the sens should want to play.
Thats no slight to the Leafs that is everyting to do with how good tampa is and what they have accomplished.
VERY exciting to see Cousins travelling with the team thats for sure.
