Thanks for the update. Sorry to lose him .
Given our cap situation and the low value of the Canadian dollar, I would be shocked if we signed Saad.Sounds like contenders are lining up. I'll be surprised if the Senators are in the mix.

Well, I would imagine most teams are in a similar situation cap wise, since it'll be all contenders vying for him. And since their salaries are paid in USD, I doubt that's a factor, especially since he just left millions on the table to be able to stay in the league. He'll get a low salary 1 year deal like Klingberg. Thanks for the update. Sorry to lose him .

He had surgery shortly after the garrioch report and the timeline given was a couple months, no commitment on whether or not he was done for the season though. It has been 9 weeks since Cousins was injured on January 25. Garrioch said he would be out 6 to 8 weeks. I have not heard anything else reported about him. Has anyone heard anything?
Gotta find some way to fit in Gaidette's cap hit...Maybe we're doing our own fun mini version of cap circumvention

Garrioch said he's likely skating again as his gear was spotted in the locker room. Thanks Micklebot.
If the surgery and healing went well we should hear some updated news any day now. Perhaps he will start skating soon. I don't have high hopes he will be back on the roster this season nor for the playoffs.
