Just came on here to say a quick thank you for the hospitality today. I managed to grab a spot in the lot near the highway, had a nice walk downtown, and got into the game well before puck drop. I left Erie a bit later than I anticipated so didn't have time to eat anywhere outside the rink, but the arena food was still good. Your arena is beautiful, too. Everyone was helpful and professional. Hopefully I'll be back down the road.

Teams should be calling Niagara steady looks like they’re just giving guys away for free 🤣

NIAGARA, ON – The Niagara IceDogs have traded forward Brody Crane to the Guelph Storm in exchange for a draft pick.

NIAGARA RECEIVES:
  • 6th Round Pick 2026 (GUE)
GUELPH RECEIVES:
  • Brody Crane (F)

All I can say is wow! Niagara acquired Crane on Nov 9 in exchange for Christopher O’Flaherty (F), 3rd 2025, 3rd 2027 and 4th 2026.

And now less than 2 months later, we trade him away for a measly 6th round pick.

If you are asking yourself how this happened, its' simple. I think the IceDogs knowingly overpaid for Crane in November. Why did they do that? Well according to the The OHL Podcast, the IceDogs may be giving London extra picks to take U.S. players the IceDogs don't want so that London becomes responsible for the costly U.S. Scholarship packages.

Listen to the podcast below.

This type of trade won't happen any more with Bruce and Ben Boudreau here. Trading for Crane was the mistake...he didn't want to come here and when he got here, he wanted out and played like it!
