Why can I not simply ignore the train wreck in Niagara? WTF is going on? I feel drawn into this saga.

I want to see what happens next.

Deep down inside I want to see this franchise turn the corner and become the powerhouse it should be. They have all the elements needed to succeed. Jsut need the right person at the helm to rebuild the team on the ice.

New rink, great fanbase, beautiful surrounding area, and great brand. Well over half of the CHL would die for those elements.

It jsut seems like when they played in the old barn, the team had its collective shit together. Now that it has a solid foundation, everything has fallen apart. I just don’t get it.

Can you imagine how good a Netflix Ice Dogs reality show/documentary thing would have been over the last 12 months?

Oh. Sorry Ice Dog fans. You guys have proven beyond a doubt you’re one of the most hardcore fan base’s in the CHL and you more than deserve the ship righted and I really hope it happens sooner rather than later.

The last two games have been entertaining to watch. I hope it continues. They may not win many games coming home but if they are competitive it will help them entice top end players to report.

Icedogs ran out of steam today playing three games in two and half days against a rested North Bay team has they lose 7 to 2 Lavoie and He scored for tgeDogs who were out shot 42 to 14 . Next game at home Wednesday against Owen Sound.

I think originally they were trying to fast track a rebuild so they would good enough to host a memorial cup. Now I have no idea what they are doing.

I agree that originally he was trying a fast track rebuild but recently has switched to a long haul rebuild. Recently, with the exception of yesterday's 3rd game in 2.5 days, they have played well against some good teams.

Aside from our three first round picks over the next two years, we have a second round choice this year and 3 seconds next year. I think this alone should be enough to sell to top 5 picks...and perhaps a Memorial Cup birth a few years down the road.

There's no chance top talent is going to report to this gong show. It would take an experienced GM a few years to fix the damage he's done. Since he's the smartest guy in the room, I don't see him hiring an experienced guy anytime soon.

Oh wow. After seeing your reply I went and looked up the previous trade. That’s hilarious. Sarnia got the pick quality, Niagara got the quantity, and both got about about the same value.
