Good effort tonight in Barrie a tough overtime loss 4 to 3 now off to Nort Bay tomorrow afternoon.
Can you imagine how good a Netflix Ice Dogs reality show/documentary thing would have been over the last 12 months? Why can I not simply ignore the train wreck in Niagara? WTF is going on? I feel drawn into this saga.
I want to see what happens next.
Deep down inside I want to see this franchise turn the corner and become the powerhouse it should be. They have all the elements needed to succeed. Jsut need the right person at the helm to rebuild the team on the ice.
New rink, great fanbase, beautiful surrounding area, and great brand. Well over half of the CHL would die for those elements.
It jsut seems like when they played in the old barn, the team had its collective shit together. Now that it has a solid foundation, everything has fallen apart. I just don’t get it.

My girlfriend standing at the bottom of the stairs signaling me in lingerie with me going “Shhhh! They’re about to trade Fimis!”If they called it, “our year” it would have been brilliant!
I think originally they were trying to fast track a rebuild so they would good enough to host a memorial cup. Now I have no idea what they are doing.Does anyone know what Darren DeDobbelaer is doing with this team? Does this circus ever end?
I agree that originally he was trying a fast track rebuild but recently has switched to a long haul rebuild. Recently, with the exception of yesterday's 3rd game in 2.5 days, they have played well against some good teams.I think originally they were trying to fast track a rebuild so they would good enough to host a memorial cup. There's no chance top talent is going to report to this gong show. It would take an experienced GM a few years to fix the damage he's done. Since he's the smartest guy in the room, I don't see him hiring an experienced guy anytime soon.I agree that originally he was trying a fast track rebuild but recently has switched to a long haul rebuild. Aside from our three first round picks over the next two years, we have a second round choice this year and 3 seconds next year. I think this alone should be enough to sell to top 5 picks...and perhaps a Memorial Cup birth a few years down the road.
It wouldn’t be trade deadline day with a trade from Niagara.

Oh wow. After seeing your reply I went and looked up the previous trade. That’s hilarious. Sarnia got the pick quality, Niagara got the quantity, and both got about about the same value.Wow! I thought everyone would have thought Voit made Dann last season and no way he could return that value twice
You have unlimited cardsWe were one forward short of 4 lines so another trade...Welcome Alex Assadourian
That should about do it for cards I would think.
WAY TO GO!!! YOU WON A TRADE!!!Probably last trades of the season TRADE: IceDogs trade Nolan Dann to Flint for six draft picks – Niagara IceDogs
One more TRADE: IceDogs acquire Alex Assadourian from the Sudbury Wolves – Niagara IceDogs
Thinking the management wanted to win something this year.
