Sounds like I’ll watch fewer games this season. Shame. Hope they straighten out their act sometime soon.
Way to go NHLExactly! so frustrated right now. its so convoluted. ESPN+ is only showing 13 games for the season... that's not a direct replacement for NHL Center Ice...

Where do you get the 13 games from? I thought they advertised all the out of market / non-national games and 1100+ out of 1300 games or something like that. If it is really just 13 games, it seems to me like that would be false advertising.
Im in a chat with a ESPN+ rep...
this is what he just said:
Alright! upon checking the schedule of the NY ranger is only on October 14 and 16 will be available on ESPN+ and the rest are on Linear channel and you need to have a TV provider to watch the game on the specific date and time.
Here's the schedule on their site... 13 stinking games
2021-22 New York Rangers Schedule | ESPN
They've gotta be the adding the post-October games when the calendar turns. Maybe they're waiting to see which games get picked up nationally? If it's only 13 games that would be awful. For whatever it's worth I'm on a hulu + live trial and they only show the game against the caps on the schedule, so it does not seem like that is a solution.
If you’re out of market and have Hulu Live and Espn + you’ll be able to watch every Rangers game. NHL Network seems to be a preseason only deal as of now. They've gotta be the adding the post-October games when the calendar turns. Maybe they're waiting to see which games get picked up nationally? Here's an article that helps...
How to watch and stream the 2021 NHL hockey season without cable - CNET
i was on chat with ESPN + yesterday... he told me it's mostly for the fan "on the go" . It's not a direct replacement for NHL.TV, etc....
He pointed me toward HULU Live TV plus... which is around $65-75 a month! And you still don't get every game!
I'm not sure what to here. i'm in PA. and looking for most cost effective way to see "most games"
previously i was using SLing for the POs....

That rep is an idiot. They haven't loaded the out-of-market package in to ESPN+ yet... that's all.
Oh so maybe your issue is that you are “in market.”
You need a VPN.
Really? thats a rep i spoke to yesterday and today?
i'm in PA....
Yes, really. "Let me check the schedule" is literally him just looking at the same things you and I can look at.
The only games that have loaded into ESPN+ are the national TV ones. Nothing else has. I'm not sure when it will (though, you'd think before Tuesday).
Thanks. i appreciate the help! both reps on ESPN+ chat told me i need an additional service for NYR games.
i hope ur right. i want to believe you....
I just don't see it being possible that ESPN has been lying to people to get them to sign up.
OTOH, where in PA are you? What's your zip code? Because there may be a possibility that you are actually in market. I know for sure that part of PA is in the Rangers TV market.
19014.
thx brother
The Flyers are the only team blacked out for that zip code. I found this handy tool: Blackout Information
It's really just a matter of time for when they tell us the package is active. Tuesday only has two games and they're both national games, so Wednesday is the deadline for them to get it going. I see 3 games that should be available to out-of-market customers. The other two (including our opener) are on TNT.
