Used to get the full pre/post on NHLTV - now it’s final buzzer and cut to the “event has ended” screen. But hey, who cares about the user experience as long as the league gets that sweet sweet cash, eh?

Does anyone know if there's a way to go back and re-watch complete games on either ESPN+ or the NHL app now?

You used to be able to re-watch old games on the NHL app.

Pretty disappointed so far. ESPN+ is a big downgrade relative to how I used to use NHL.tv (unless I am stupidly missing something) specifically the inability to watch games the night of unless you catch the stream live. Frequently I would buzz through a game at 9, 10 pm after other work/family commitments were handled and that isn't possible with ESPN+.

The lack of "Play from Start" is a similar issue but less frustrating.

Never thought I'd go back to VPNs but here we are. Live streaming through MSG Go/ESPN and VPN rather than NHL TV because the quality just isn't there.

If you are talking about games previously on ESPN+ then yes they are there. If you are talking about games that were on NHL network, or TNT, No.

Congrats to the NHL, they went and changed things up...making it a worse experience for their fans.

Bumping this thread. I just moved out of market and am sifting through the info here. Right now I've just been using streams, but would prefer to easily access the games on my TV. From what I read, if you get the subscription to ESPN+ you'll get access to all the games other than those on TNT. I see that there doesn't appear to be pre or post-game which sucks, but I'm fine to settle as long as I get access to the MSG feed for live games.

Does all of that sound correct?

ESPN+ covers you fall MSG and ESPN televised games. I've had to use the away feed some games because either the audio is so out of sync or Rangers are on MSG dungeon.

I used YT TV for TNT games. But I also fixed my location in my browser to get NY football and Mets/SNY.

Does ESPN+ work if you live in the NY area but your cable company decided to take away MSG?

Just stopping in to say hello to everyone else struggling, putting up with the shitshow product this year, and, oh yeah... F Sky Sports Germany/Austria

Add in that ESPN+ won't give you the games on NHL Network also

Is this only for NHL Network-exclusive games or even games that are simulcast on NHL Network?
I don't think they do their own games... when they air an entire game its always another local partner's broadcast (like MSG).

So in that case ESPN+ wouldn't carry it. I believe yesterday's game vs the Isles was supposed to be on NHL network so that one sadly wouldn't have been on ESPN+
