This seems odd, but it's good: Last July I canceled my monthly (U.S.) subscription to NHL.TV and received an email from NHL confirming the cancel. I still have the NHL streaming app on my TV, and I don't recall if I ever "signed out" of my NHL.TV account. Last night, out of curiosity, I opened the NHL app and the usual start page appeared showing last night's 2 games on the schedule. I could not watch either game live. Later on, however, I could watch a full replay of the Montreal/Toronto game in English and French. The Blues/Wild game indicated No Feed available. I advanced the date for tonight, and the app shows 9 games on the schedule. It looks like I'm somehow still able to watch replays on the NHLTV app...until somebody remembers to pull the plug.

I downloaded the app in august and was able to watch highlights of any game from last season as well as any videos on the the individual team pages without signing up / paying for anything . So I guess theres a free element to it that will of course not give you access to live games

I'm just waiting to see if both home and away feeds will be available. We should know that by now but I can't find verbiage anywhere to confirm it. I ain't trying to hear the Islanders broadcast when the Rangers are playing at IBS Arena.

I checked the upcoming games schedule through espn.com/watch last night and it has a separate listing for the Rangers and Islanders broadcasts. I'm not seeing this for other games but I'm hoping that's just because it's preseason so multiple feeds are limited.

It doesn't show that for me. Just one listing and when I select it it says "This event has not started yet." or something like that.

Guys I'm confused and hoping someone can help! So I'm a Rangers fan in Canada, I'm with Telus and am subscribed to NHL Center Ice. When I check the TV guide it doesn't show any of the matchups for any games. Normally during the season it will say eg. "New York Rangers versus New York Islanders at 4PM." Does this mean the preseason games won't be streaming on Center Ice?? Will Center Ice be streaming all the games like normal this season? Does the ESPN+ thing change anything? It seems that Center Ice/nhl.tv aren't a thing in the US anymore because of ESPN+ but we don't have ESPN+ in Canada

Here's what shows up for me if I go to Ice Hockey listings under the "Upcoming" tab for today:

NHL Network games were on NHL.TV for the last two years.

I can tell you with all certainty that wasn't the case pre-pandemic. Living in North Carolina I missed out on a few Rangers games due to not having NHL Network. I've heard rumblings about that channel moving to HBO Max at some point in the future. Hopefully that's the case.

ESPN better work on their syncing issues. Just turned on the game to see what this is and the audio is not in sync at all.

It looks like it might be in sync. Maybe this is an MSG thing.

I was able to get NHL Network games. Odd.

I’m watching the espn + feed of islanders/rangers on my Apple TV. I think there is some audio syncing issues on both feeds. Am I wrong?

Glad it isn’t just me! I am having the same issue on both feeds

You're not wrong--it changed (though without any fanfare, which is maybe why some missed it) at the start of the 2019-20 season. Just so happened to coincide with Covid. Really hoping it continues, though, because I still think we're spoiled as Sharks fans with our crew and the seven ESPN+/ESPN games this season feels like enough without them already (on top of the Rangers/Devils/Islanders/Sabres games I have to watch on local TV here in New York).

So NHL Live is no longer available on a month to month basis? The only option I'm getting is to purchase the entire season for $179.99. That's garbage. Guess I'll have to settle for the condensed games.

While watching tonight on my Apple mini the hide scores feature kept turning itself back on giving away the scores . Hopefully NHL tv can work out any glitches before the regular season begins . It worked fine otherwise .

IM still seeing the 7 a month option, but i find it hard to believe it'd be so cheap to get every NHL game.... (apart from the national)

Has anyone in Europe been able to watch preseason games on the iPhone/iPad app? No matter what game I’m trying to watch, I get this popup message.

Watching from a browser on PC works fine.

EDIT: Deleting and re-installing the app seemed to fix it.

Well, have you visited that link? Different rules apply to different European countries. For Finland, it says you should watch via Viaplay, not the NHL app. (Not sure why it works for you via the browser.)

Maybe I should have been more specific: Asking from people in European countries that still have NHL.tv listed as a valid way to watch the games.

The app doesn’t even proceed to the blackout detection page that it used to do normally. The pop-up comes up right away after selecting the game feed.

I watched the game on Apple TV, Chromecast, my smart TV, and my computer. On every device the game was out of sync.

Tried the Kraken game later and that feed was perfect.

I too was watching the Kraken game and it was pretty good.

I wonder what the DVR capabilities are going to be for this service. I have seen you can watch the games on demand, but can you start the game in the middle of the game, or make sure you are not spoiled (Since if you hover over a game it will show you the actual game. Is ESPN going to update the app in a week to provide better navigation? I would love to be able to enter the app, go to the dedicated NHL Page (Which should be easy to find) and just go from there. Now everything is incorporated with the app so better navigation would be a plus.

I'm in Canada so we have to go through Roger's NHL Live. Last season you could get it for $29.99 a month, but it looks like that's not an option this year. $7 a month or $70 a year would be awesome. It's ridiculous that in Canada we have to pay three times the price.
