Have you noticed some streams are really blurry/low quality?
I just logged in to ESPN+ for the first time on my browser and the video quality is utter trash. The old NHL.tv mess was way better (when it actually worked and didn't desync or have mysterious authentication problems). It's like I'm watching on RealPlayer.

I get up early so I tend to fall asleep halfway through the games and would like to watch the game from where I left off or start from either the 2nd or 3rd period the next day .

sn now via firestick doesnt seem to have this option unless I'm missing it somewhere but you can fast forward 30 seconds at a time

I have NHLTV installed on my Shield Pro. Had to re-enter my user and password info a few times day to day, but it's working fine now.
(in Taiwan here)
Just noticed the android TV version. I've got it installed on my shield pro as well. Is there a way to pick the home or away steam? Can't seem to locate it.

Edit: Never mind. Let's you choose it once the game starts.

Why are ads on steaming services so limited? If I see that ESPNW ad again I might break something. With as big a network has ESPN and the whole Disney umbrella, I would think they would have more variety. It’s the same complaint every year. I remember when I started subscribing to the package they would play the local ads. I wish they would go back to that or just show nothing (unlikely).
Because 1.) very few people are likely actually watching 2.) any audience metrics they have a black box metrics that advertisers don’t trust. Leaves you with minutes as audience for streaming games.

Is there a fast forward for full game replays on android TV? I can't get it to fast forward at all. Remote doesn't do it and no onscreen button. Can't watch all commercials and intermission, this will be brutal...

Now if only sportsnet and tsn can get their shit together and get their apps on to google tv that would be swell

Anyone else on SNNOW having issues with horrid video quality? I thought it was my fire stick at first as Sportsnet lists 720p max video quality… switched to my xbox and thought that would fix it…. Then realized something wasn’t right. Watching all my games (Avs) in 720 while HNIC IS IN 1080. Why the hell would they not have all streams in hd?!? It almost unwatchable, very disappointing from Sportsnet.

at bottom of page it lists compatible devices (including Roku)

hopefully this is also a sign that SN Premium could be making an app for Roku as well . I prefer the simple Roku interface verses Firestick

roku news on the subject

Yeah FIrestick is full of crap.

But the TSN App isn't made for the firestick yet even tho you can install it its just phone tablet app theyve allowed in the store.

And as for tsn saying things are on google tv and android tv

Anyone else having trouble streaming through ESPN+ on a browser? All of my streams have been dying within a few minutes, started within the last two weeks with no changes on my end, on both Firefox and Chrome on multiple devices. Works fine through PS4 and on the app on Android.

Also, just turned on the Flames/Panthers game and the goal crossbar is invisible due to the board ads.... f***ing jerks!

Does anybody seem to have this problem where ESPN+ videos are constantly cutting out, almost randomly? Like, it plays fine one second and the very next second there's an error message? I've had this problem tonight, either with one video playing or two, and this has happened across FOUR different browsers. It's annoying as hell. I haven't been able to watch the Bundesliga much recently, but I know I wasn't having these issues watching Bundesliga broadcasts on ESPN+ just a couple months ago, so whatever the issue is, it seems to be a new one. I must've had the Rangers game cut out on me at least a dozen times tonight. Seems to happen more often during the commercial breaks but it also happens during gameplay, too.

Between this and that the streams I used to use no longer seem to use a video player that has DVR-type ability to rewind, this season sucks from a watchability POV. Those streams made my life so easy that I didn't even bother with ESPN+.

Yes. Multiple browsers and machines, app works fine... just through a browser causes that error message within several minutes of watching, I've given up trying.

Started a couple weeks ago after months/years of no issue. Though, I do seem to remember this happening before.

It's not you. Unfortunately, it's also probably not going to be fixed until some tech on their end luck boxes into noticing there's a problem, or many people complain. Not holding my breath.

I do not undestand how it is still possible that there are big chunks of game still missing. I am in contact with NHL. tv support since the beginning of the season. But they are really clueless. I live in Europe, I try to avoid seeing the final scores throughout the day and then I found out that there is only half a game available or it simpy skips to a different period.
To me this service is destroying NHL as an product. I undestands that mistakes happen from time to time. But this is just a constant that like every third game has a part of it missing.
Also the quality is quite awful. It was not great in the previous seasons but now it quite often looks like something from the 90's.

Have you actually had communication back and forth with them? I must have sent them 10-15 emails through their contact form and have yet to have even one response. This is the last year I sign up with them. They are utter garbage. Had to watch an entire game in 360p the other night. What year is this? 1995?

I'm only able to get 30 fps tonight for sabres vs avalanche on espn+. Online has been this way for a couple of weeks, but now TV is the same

For whatever reason this season on ESPN+, half the Avalanche games I attempt to watch, ESPN tells me the game is not available in my region. The other half I am able to watch with no problems. Anyone have this same issue or a fix for it? It’s really frustrating paying for a service where I can’t even watch the Avs half the time and none of the Knights games.

Awful stuff from last night's Avalanche/Bruins game. Glitchy skippy looking video all game, then the Altitude feed cut off a few minutes into the 3rd period and I've had to listen to Jack Edwards for the rest of the game. It's been fine for me since the problems at the start of the year but this has just been terrible.
