I was getting an IO stream error on the oilers feed last night but my other 3 streams were having no issue
 
Anyone know where I can find niche NHL clips of random players and random shifts? Like Hits, forecheck, defensive plays? Need it for a school project.

Not looking for commercial highlight goals and stuff you on TV or Youtube too often...

habs-wild on demand feed around 15 min just cut the rest of the first period and starts second. incredibly, incredibly bad. utter disgrace.
 
Oilers vs Devils game on NHL.TV is a total mess. The Devils stream jumps from the end of the first period to the third and leaves the 2nd period out, the Oilers stream is like 10 hours long, but the stream doesn't start at all. That kinda makes the viewing experience not so nice... Forgot to say: The Devils steam stops with a few seconds left in the game, which is a nice touch in a one goal game.
 
I wanted to pay for streaming but I’m not paying for this garbage..I’ll stick to the alternatives until they figure their shit out.
 
Really disappointing to hear of the continuing issues with NHL.TV. Has anyone in the UK got any feedback on the Viaplay streaming offering now they’re showing every game? Is there any pre / post game content?

It was a disaster watching it live/delayed last night too. Oilers stream cuts out at the 8.22 mark of the first. I couldn't get it back. Switched to the devils feed and partly ruined the score. Switched back to the Oilers feed in the third. They seemed to have removed the 'start from beginning' button i mentioned on Wednesday, so I had to manually find the start of the game each mess of a stream. Garbage.

Doesn anyone know if the android TV app is now available? I noticed the nhl.tv website no longer lists the android tv app as "available soon". But last I checked the nhl.tv app on the google play store hasn't been updated since Oct 21...

You sure you didn't just dream there was such a button? :D I have yet to encounter it on any platform this season.

However, I have noticed that in the iPad NHL.tv app, it's now possible to scroll back to the start of the game manually, by dragging the slider with your thumb. That wasn't possible in mid-October. Spoilers will be a constant threat, though.

For recent Kings games, the live stream collapses/freezes about once per game for me. The solution is to switch to the opposing team's broadcast temporarily, then switch right back again, and it works.

Zero pre-game content, which is infuriating. For post-game, sometimes it's there in full, and sometimes there's nothing. Totally unpredictable.

Intermission content is now shown in full, including the ads. I rejoice! :thumbu: Anyone complaining about "too many ads on TV" should recognize what a joy and privilege it is to watch ads instead of a single frozen screen, where you can never be sure whether the stream is still working or not! No more cutting off announcers mid-sentence, either.

Just why did they have to destroy the previous app where all basic features were working fine? Why all this regress and anguish? Shouldn't things be improving over time, instead of deteriorating? :ha:

nhltv works so bad, absolutly terrible, how is it possible in 2023 ?! Why they made a changes ? last years it worked good . I payed money hard worked money and what i get for that ?! sick
 
No problems with the Avalanche game on NHL TV for me. It seemed to be playing two separate audio feeds at the start for a bit during the pre-game stuff but it's been fine since then.

Can you please tell us where you see the button? I don't see the button on my Android phone or Ipad which means I still have to manually scroll the bar back to the beginning if I start watching the game midway. Mind posting the screenshot?

I've noticed that too. The disappearance of the "coming soon" remark does make me wonder if the AndroidTV app is already made public. However I still don't see it on Google Playstore of my Android TV. Meanwhile I do get the remark that says "NHL.TV by NHL Enterprises, LP isn't available on Google Play on this device". Wonder if this means the app is still only available on tablets and not on smart televisions.

Has anyone here successfully downloaded the new NHL.TV app on television?

Same issue with Sportsnetnow.

Its available on Android TV but not on Google TV

Click the Home/away broadcast, then on the video player was the option to start from beginning or join live. This was a one-off that night as it didn't work when starting a game the next day. I watch on a laptop. I'll try it again tonight.
