This is about the app. None of the games have video of the goals scored in game center.

If it's 2nd period intermission of a game I'm watching & I want to see the goals of another game, I could usually do that through game center on the app.

But they had none tonight. After games were over, they put up a highlight package for that game.

I don't want a highlight package. I want to be able to see the individual goals. Usually it only took them a few minutes to post a video in game center after a goal is scored.

So, what happened tonight?

This totally sucks.

Has anyone tried to subscribe but got their payment rejected because their bank doesn't recognize Cleeng, which is the NHL's payment processor?

Also, when I try to subscribe via the app, it only allows me to do monthly payment, not the yearly, which is cheaper.
Anyone having the same issue?

Cannot find this game at all on Bell either, and I have Centre Ice on auto renewal.
when I had bell center ice and SN 360 or SN 1 decided to air random islander games they would not be on center ice . I'd have to increase my satt tv pkg to include sn1 and sn 360 to get that game because those are considered nationally televised games . maybe find out if wsh-bos was on sn 360 or sn 1 because thats likely your answer . I had access to wsh-bos on sn now premium fwiw

flames vs avs are on sn 1 tonight so thats not likely going to be on bell center ice either

Yes, I had to subscribe via the desktop to get the cheaper annual subscription option.

But now I may need to ask for a refund if the major issues continue. Quite apart from broken/incomplete streams, it's a huge downgrade in quality compared to previous seasons, given:

:madfire: no option to start watching the game from the beginning if it's already in progress

:madfire: zero intermission, pregame & postgame shows

:madfire: announcers cut off mid-sentence when going to commercial breaks, and returning to the game too late

:madfire: completely frozen "commercial break" screens for 17+ minutes straight, even in replay/archived streams

:madfire: no option to switch from watching one game to another directly – you always need to go back to the very messy and static main schedule screen.

Atrocious product! :help:

Why did they have to destroy the original NHL.tv streaming that was available directly in the NHL app?

Just a heads up, not sure if you guys are seeing this on your account or not... I did get the $99 price for this year but when I look at my account details it indicates I'm scheduled for auto-renewal for next season but at $129. WTF...

I was trying to use my Mastercard credit card and it just said Payment Rejected. I used my Visa debit card and it went through fine.

The sudden cuts and the lack of intermission shows is really weird. I don't know how this works. Before this season it was almost as if someone was watching games and pressing a button when the breaks started, because every now and then you'd get a few seconds of the commercial before it cut out. I don't know if it's an automated system doing it now that cuts it off automatically, but hopefully there's some refinement as the season goes on. I don't ever even pay attention to in-studio stuff when I watch any sports, but it's a strange thing to get rid of.

Yeah my next payment is due on 10/10/23 and is ~120 something. Weird. We'll just need to remember to cancel the auto-renew before then, but it's not a great system.

Anyway, my first experience of the new platform was fine. I signed up this morning and aside from the problem with my cards mentioned above, I signed up fine, watched the Avalanche game and everything worked. I even watched from a UK IP address and the game was on. I would've thought our game would be on TV here but maybe it wasn't.

The interface is a bit dumb. The schedule tab doesn't show anything for me, and having to scroll past the game recaps to get to the full games is really stupid since the recap thumbnails usually have a clue about who won the game.

I should add that since 16/17 I've always watched NHL TV via a laptop plugged into my TV, so the app problems and playback issues a lot of people have aren't something I've ever really seen. Fix the page layouts and do a better job of editing the broadcasts and it's fine for me.

I find cutting out pregame, postgame and especially the intermission shows unforgivable. Reason enough for me to cancel the subscription.

Also, how lame is it for them to start the stream literally at the exact moment when the puck is dropped? :thumbd:

You sell broadcasts, so give us the whole damn broadcasts, including the teams getting on the ice, the anthem, the announcers reporting on the line-ups, etc. etc.

That's how it was with NHL.tv in seasons past, and there is no reason to deprive paying subscribers of that going forward.

The Avalanche game had all of the pre-game stuff. I can see why they might be gone from full game replays but if they're cut out of live streams too it's really weird.

But no intermission, right? 17+ minutes of a single frozen screen, wasn't it? They really should be ashamed.
Yeah it was just the banner at the start. I wonder if Stanley Cup presentations are the only thing they'll show.

Can anyone watch complete games on Fire TV? I can watch highlights but whenever I try to watch whole games I get the message that I don't have the necessary subscription (which of course I have and I have of course put in my account details).

Same here. Using Fire TV.
I can't even watch the highlights...
Get the same 'you don't have the necessary subscription' message. Which I have.

Same here with Fire TV. (Almost funny that the app does not allow one to watch highlights that are free, claiming that one does not have the necessary subscription, even though the settings confirms one's annual subscription...)

I watched the Avs game using the browser of Fire TV. This worked. But the app is ridiculous.

I believe an updated app has not yet been released for Android TV / Fire TV and therefore you are using the old app which will no longer work.

Could be true. It has the "new layout" with Matthews and Makar in the background, though, so it can't be ultra old. It says it is version 1.0.0 and was last updates Oct 13 2022.

Came here to check on this as well.

Usually when you're in the app and looking at the scoring summary dropdown for the game, the goal highlight is playable within a few minutes of being scored, I haven't seen this feature working at all so far. No highlights in the scoring summary at all.

I thought maybe they were making us use the ESPN app for those now, but not seeing them there either.

I hope everyone complaining in here is bombarding nhl support with complaint messages as well. They need to hear how unhappy everyone is so that they actually fix things.

My main complaint so far is no 'start game from beginning' button. Second is no android tv app. The missing pieces of the ducks-kraken game last night and Vegas-LA the night before are absolutely ridiculous. There is no reason for a game to be missing chunks.

Yup, not working tonight either. I'm on the road & stopped at a rest stop for dinner just now & I can't watch a single goal highlight for any games because it's not there again.

This better not be a season long thing because that's just completely garbage game center.

Si I decided to get the NHL package through Sportsnet as opposed to Center ICe through my TV provider, the man logic was I wanted to get my choice of which broadcast Iw atch. Looks like SN is forcing the one I don't want on me. I assume we don't get that option anymore?
