Thank god for Claire and the advice she gave me today. I completely forgot that the service may not work with certain devices. Had I known that I wouldn't have spent several hours trying to figure out what's wrong with my toaster.

I found it very helpful. It's so much more comfortable to stare at "general stream access error" screen when you know that you're using an appropriate device for the stream.

They've been able to fix the App for NHL.TV(Europe etc.).

All you've got to do is clear the cache and it works.

On what basis are you concluding that? :skeptic: All the broken streams encountered by me this season so far have been broken/unavailable in exactly the same way on multiple platforms, such as the iPad app and the web stream in a regular browser on a Windows 10 computer, so it's certainly not as simple as "the app is fixed now, just clear your cache"!

It's nice to hear that it's working for you personally now, but it's ill-advised to generalize from that that it therefore now surely must be working for all of Europe as well.

Not to mention all the huge quality issues compared to NHL.tv in previous seasons. Is it already possible to start watching the game from the beginning when it's already in progress? Do they no longer cut off announcers mid-sentence when going to commercial breaks? Is intermission, pregame and postgame coverage now included? Etc., etc., etc.

Clearing the cache in the Android app allows the stream to play again as yesterday it wasn't working at all for any games. NHL has NOT addressed any of the issues that have been listed here yet. Nor have they responded, even with a generic email, to any of my complaints.

I will send through a list of complaints, including technical details, again today. What an embarrassment of a company.

why they didn't have apple/android apps for tv ready for the start of the season is beyond me.
being a little older, I'm not the digital spokesman, but I would guess a majority of people who want to watch games on an actual tv instead of a phone or tablet need this solution.

Mirroring, or casting is just not a good enough option, especially if you want to use your device for something else while you watch. i get a video lag behind audio when i mirror from my iphone as well, not to mention the video quality.

I'd love to know who actually supports and manages these apps. There are people in positions being paid money to develop and support this stuff. I don't own the product personally but I'm constantly amazed at all the backlash year after year. It's so bad one would actually think that they are basically screwing with everyone on purpose. This level of incompetency in software development and support was expected and known literally 25 years ago. Today? Are we serious?

Stream games live and on-demand on your computer, phone, tablet and connected TV. A new NHL.TV app will be available on iOS and Android phones and tablets, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV. AirPlay and Chromecast streaming will also be supported.

Key word being will. They just don't tell you when.

I'm writing about the app(personally for Fire TV Stick) that hadn't worked up until today and only showed that you supposedly didn't have a subscription.

Now you can at least watch games there with your subscription which wasn't possible at all before.
Of course, it's not going to work 100% and I'm still looking at how to fast forward during games I watch on demand.

Trying to watch a blacked out game here with Seed4.me VPN gives me an error, that this game is not available through vpn. Damn, that would be my cancellation.

Can't watch any of the games any more, not even yesterdays. This morning it worked fine, now I get "General stream access error" Error #203 for each and every game.Thank you NHL for nothing.

it is working good for me but allways when come third period it just crash and turn it off. I can watch just two periods and it sucks .

I'm in italy and all the games seem to be blacked-out here?
How is that possible?

The new NHL.tv app is horrible, keeps logging me out all the time, having to accept cookie settings again and again whenever I've used a different app on my phone....

The old NHL app worked fine, they really messed it up this time. Also, you were able to re-watch single goals directly from the scoreboard, instead of shuffling through the whole highlights.
Hope they fix it soon, but I highly doubt it since they had all summer long and came up with this product...

Does anyone get this error message as the game goes on? I had it happened on the first Bruins game and by restarting the app (iOS), it worked. Now I am watching the Arizona game, this message popped up at the end of the 2nd period and it‘s not going away. I am starting to get a little pissed off at NHL tv.

Same thing today, no access to any games. "General stream access error" message each time. I get stock email responses from NHLTV. I keep sending messages. This is going nowhere fast. Might just have to try and get a refund at this rate.

Anyone who previously was experiencing trouble find a solution or a fix of any kind?

NHL app for PS5 don’t support anymore?
I have no smart tv or anything else. I was always watch NHL via Playstation app.
Now i can watch only at iphone ☹️.

Sure this has been mentioned before, and obviously a small problem compared to the really serious ones. But how ridiculous that the summaries of games use screenshots on which you see the final score. It is as if they try to make everything as worse as possible

Italy isn't listed in the countries where NHL TV is available: https://nhl-support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/5584014279324-NHL-TV

Yeah noticed this too. I always wonder why they don't get atleast one person who loves hockey to test the product. This would be such a small thing to change with a decent impact.

The creators definetly never watched hockey or any sports on demand

I am beyond angry. Gave them a detailed account of what is wrong, how it goes wrong, what devices I am using, what OS they use, a screenshot of the app when it goes down, etc etc and I received a canned answer asking me to check if my device is listed among the devices supported and a link for troubleshooting that „should solve my problems“ that brings me to a page from Cleeng (I think that they are the software developers who made the app) with exactly ZERO support, ZERO troubleshooting procedures. I am one inch away from just asking for a refund.
