Big batch of Sabre cuts
The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has released 17 players from its training camp roster.

Twelve players have been loaned to the Rochester Americans (AHL): Forwards Justin Bailey, William Carrier, Daniel Catenacci (pending waivers), Eric Cornel, Jean Dupuy, Vaclav Karabacek, Justin Kea, Evan Rodrigues and Cole Schneider (pending waivers); defensemen Brady Austin and Brycen Martin; goaltender Jason Kasdorf.

Five players have been released from their tryouts and will report to Rochester for training camp: Forwards Matthew Lane and Daniel Muzito-Bagenda; defenseman Mac Bennett and Paul Geiger; goaltender John Muse.

The Sabres now have 33 players (18 forwards, 12 defensemen and three goaltenders) on their training camp roster.

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have reduced their training camp roster to 35 players.

The Panthers assigned eight players to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds - forwards Chase Balisy , Graham Black and Juho Lammikko defensemen Josh Brown, Michael Downing and Linus Hultstrom , and goaltenders Sam Brittain and Colin Stevens .

Forwards Rihards Bukarts, Anthony Greco and Zac Lynch and defenseman Ed Wittchow have been released from their tryout contracts and will report to Springfield's training camp.

Defensemen Jonathan Racine and Brent Regner and goaltender Mike McKenna have been placed on waivers and upon clearing waivers will report to Springfield.

Goaltender Samuel Montembeault has been assigned to his Quebec Major Junior Hockey League team, the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada.

Forward Justin Fontaine, Ryan Horvat and Stephen MacAulay have been released from their professional tryouts.

he Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that they have reduced their training camp roster today, assigning 20 players to the training camp of Binghamton of the American Hockey League and placing one player on waivers for the purpose of assignment to the B-Sens.

Ten (10) players were assigned to Binghamton this morning, including: Casey Bailey, Vincent Dunn, Andreas Englund, Macoy Erkamps, Gabriel Gagne, Ben Harpur, Matt O'Connor, Francis Perron, Ryan Rupert and Patrick Sieloff.

Ten (10) players were released from their professional tryouts and assigned to Binghamton's training camp, including: Vincent Arseneau, Chris Carlisle, Kyle Flanagan, Scott Greenham, Alex Krushelnyski, Guillaume Lepine, Alex Loiseau, Louick Marcotte, Jack Rodewald and Chris Rumble.

Zack Stortini was placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Binghamton.

The Senators training camp roster is now composed of 33 players: three goaltenders, 10 defencemen and 20 forwards.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Saturday assigned forward Dominic Turgeon and goaltender Jake Paterson to the Grand Rapids Griffins. In addition, the Red Wings released forwards Mike Borkowski, Mathew Santos, Matthew Ford, Alex Globke and Daniel Cleary, defenseman Matthew Caito and goaltender Cal Heeter from their professional tryouts, returning them to Grand Rapids.

(w) - requires NHL waivers before being assigned to IceCaps.

Defenseman Noah Juulsen (Everett - WHL) and goaltender Michael McNiven (Owen Sound - OHL) were reassigned to their respective junior teams. The Club also released defenseman Yuri Alexandrov (NHL pro try-out).

There are still 36 players at camp (23 forwards, 9 defensemen, 4 goaltenders).

I've seen tweets this morning saying that the Flyers re-assigned Phillipe Myers to juniors and the Coyotes sent Nick Merkley back, but no confirmation from the teams, yet.

Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has assigned goaltender Jonas Gunnarsson, defensemen Alexandre Carrier, Jonathan-Ismael Diaby, Jack Dougherty, Matt Irwin and Trevor Murphy, and forwards Felix Girard, Max Gortz, Justin Kirkland, Michael Liambas, Adam Payerl, Jaynen Rissling, Trevor Smith and Harry Zolnierczyk to Milwaukee (AHL). The team also assigned 2016 third-round Entry Draft selection Frederic Allard to his junior team (Chicoutimi, QMJHL). In addition, goaltender Mark Visentin, defensemen Teddy Doherty, Eric Knodel and Jimmy Oligny, and forwards Gabryel Boudreau, Eric Robinson, Tylor Spink, Tyson Spink and Matt White have been released from their tryouts and are heading to Milwaukee's (AHL) training camp.

Nashville's training camp roster is now at 31 players - 19 forwards, nine defensemen and three goaltenders. An updated roster is available here.
