and demote others to AHL

Something just weird and trivial came to me: Do waivers start tomorrow or Saturday?
#CBJ sent F Ryan Craig, F Paul Bittner and D Blake Siebenaler to @monstershockey

http://bluejacketsxtra.dispatch.com...09/palushaj-close-to-finalizing-ahl-deal.htmlForward Aaron Palushaj, who is in Blue Jackets' training camp on a professional tryout agreement, is close to finalizing an AHL contract with the Jackets' minor-league affiliate in Cleveland.
It's not surprising to see CBJ being active on the PTO front as they had a very quiet offseason.
And when I mean quiet, I actually mean the most quiet offseason ever...
Aside from first-year pros, the only new faces are Sam Gagner (UFA) and Scott Harrington (acquired for Kerby Rychel)... They didn't even sign anyone from outside the organisation to a NHL two-way contract or a AHL deal.
Therefore, it's clear that they need to fill some depth and Palushaj looks like a great fit as a AHL depth guy. However, in a scenario where their try-outs are not successful, I don't know if guys like Stoll, Brown, Dwyer and/or MA Bergeron would be willing to play in the AHL.
Stoll and Brown have been NHL regulars for a long time while Bergeron and Dwyer have turned to Europe when their NHL careers were fading away.
http://www.clevelandmonsters.com/team/news/aaron-palushaj-signs-ahl-contract-monstersThe AHL’s defending Calder Cup Champions, the Cleveland Monsters, proudly powered by Constellation, announced Friday that the team signed 27 year-old forward Aaron Palushaj to an AHL contract for the 2016-17 season.
Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the Wolf Pack has signed defenseman Spiro Goulakos to an AHL contract.
There were no surprises. The Panthers cut goalies Colin Stevens, Mike McKenna and Sam Brittain, as well as young forwards Juho Lammikko, Chase Balisy, Graham Black and Anthony Greco. Also, defensemen Michael Downing and Josh Brown were sent down.
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...from-training-camp-roster-20160930-story.htmlThe Panthers also released centers Bo Horvat and Stephen MacAulay, as well as forward Justin Fontaine from their professional tryouts. That leaves just defenseman Adam Pardy on a PTO.
https://www.nhl.com/blackhawks/news/jake-hildebrand-released-from-training-camp/c-282291790The Chicago Blackhawks announced today goaltender Jake Hildebrand has been released from his tryout agreement. The team's active roster now includes 28 forwards, 16 defensemen and five goaltenders.
