I think what gives me pause is the 2.75m cap hit for another 2 years after this one. For a guy Columbus was considering buying out this summer according to experts. It’s only 2.75m, but we know how those “mosquitoe contracts” come back to hose you down the line (Mike Reilly, Forbort, etc etc).

I'm happy with Peeke and Maroon, would have been happier if Oliver came with Peeke instead but Sweeney did address the grit issue a bit and added a D who hits and has term. Now just dump Griz and call it a day.
You think Donny will dump Grizz & have to face his father everyday at rink? I am just asking because it's a human element.

I think they are done. I wonder if they LTIR Forbort and get compliant that way.

I mean that's pretty obviously it.

They feel like Lorhei has done enough to be on the roster. Lindholm, Lorhei, Gryz/Wotherspoon on the left.

With Lorhei in the lineup, less of a need for the struggling Shattenkirk and more need for some heft on the blue line.

I don't understand why folks aren't seeing this.

Wasn't CBS a sh*t sh*w, with the coach hired and resigning within weeks, due to inappropriate breech of privacy(looking at players cellphones). Then the GM is canned. That's a great environment to be in.
All we are saying, is give Peeke a chance.":eek3:
CBS has been terrible for years....trying to coast on old hits and all their new shows are Wish versions of other channels shows.

If it doesn't work out, because of his age, his buyout cost is tiny.

Because they still don’t have someone that can reliably win a faceoff anywhere let alone someone able to keep up with Pasta or Marchand.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but Kevin Weekes reports that the Bruins had a deal in place for Ulmark but Ulmark would not waive his no trade clause for the location. Curious about the team and players involved.

Hopefully they clear up enough cap room so they can call Beecher back up as he is by far their best faceoff man
