It was obvious that for next year, the Bruins needed a physical RD for the 3rd pairing.

and go for someone a bit more mobile or with Wotherspoon there OR you can get a real top 4 LD and push Lorhei down. Its the right move for today and tomorrow if you think defensive d-man playing in tire fire system is someone you can get more out of.

And how much more evidence do we need that is exactly the kind of players that Boston gets the most out of?

Obviously everyone wanted to go big fishing...

but they addressed size and physicality on the 4th line and bottom pairing and paid crap to do it while also locking up that D position for next year.
